Goodbye to Jason Jones

I recd horrible news today that Jason Jones of Portland, OR; our beloved Sixes, Guitargis, Trademark passed away in Dec 2009 due to a head-on collision. He was also the owner operator of the site Driven Madness. My heart is broken and he will be missed. Please pay your respects in this post. Atlantic

First of all, he resides in Seattle, WA. 2nd of all he is on facebook all of the time:p

Correction, I just checked out his profile. He is now residing in Corvallis, OR, but still seems to be alive and well. Having had posted something about half an hour ago.

If that is the case then his wife Erica has hacked into his myspace page and informed everyone that he passed away. Can you please help me find out what is going on? Thank you Chi

He was posting on Feckless' facebook page last week.

and not sure he was ever "beloved"... lol

not sure where he is now, but pretty sure his actual city was always Kennewick, Washington.

You guys are probably right, I'm not sure. I think he just mentioned Seattle to sound cool. A lot of suburbanites around here claim they are from Chicago...

*** I hope not. Alot of people were upset over this. I found out when Wez sent me an email this am asking me if I thought this was true. Then I found the myspace page.

This is Jason's wife, Erica. As you may or may not know from the local news Jason was killed in a hit and run in Portland Oregon, and pronounced dead on the scene. His funeral was on the 21st., and the turn out was good for someone who was hardly known in the area.

Jason was the soul creator of the music, Driven Madness. It can be found and downloaded at revebnation.com. Just search Driven Madness, anyway..

I am still thinking as to what should be done with Jason's myspace. Jason would have not wanted the drama, and all that. So I will most likely shut this page down, unless requested not to by his families estate. As for the music of Driven Madness, I do own the copyrights.

Jason was non profit, and always asked people to respect the freedom of Indie Artist, and make it easy to get his music for free. So as long as I have a say, Free it shall remain. I do reserve the right to run his myspace I think he might have.

On facebook If you look at the info of the far left corner where you can say something about yourself Wez, it says this page is now owned and operated by Erica - Jason's wife

That is such bullshit. I don't think that was on there before when I checked his page earlier. Also there is comments where his "wife" (who knows if they really are married) and him are having conversations about stuff. Made TODAY. Also comments about women and such that I know is stuff he would say; that were made recently.

I'm thinking this is all just a ploy to get attention, probably to Jason's crappy music and band (don't take my word for this, haven't really listened to his stuff, am just making assumptions judging him overall.)

I didn't see that.. I guess maybe the best thing would be to try to contact him or the wife and ask.
