Being that I'm a yonsei and a half *** like mike' date=' I know about the traditions and customs of the Japanese. the thing that got me though, was since way way way back before the Japanese started comming to America, they believed in a purafied race (think like harry potter with the pure bloods) and all japanese are related to each other in some way (to think you in the story that is are dating something like my dad's fathers mothers hamsters pets mothers brothers bestfriends neighbor twice removed of course[/Quote']wait wait wait... OK, first of all, excuse me because I know absolutely nothing about my Japanese heritage. So, what exactly is a yonsei? And, omg... I'm partishly inbreed! *cries*
Well then, I'm not the only one who's part Japanese and Irish. Mind adding Cherokee to that?
Anyways, great updates. Love the descriptions in them. I'm no critic so I can't say anything else. Can't wait for more!

Rob parked the car then helped Lan get out. He handed her the crutches that he once had to use due to a busted ankel. The crutches seemed to help her tremendously. Her arms were healing nicely, the cuts wernt too deep but they bled like ****. Her arms were a nice shade of purple and black. She winced as he gently placed a hand on her back. they decided to meet at a place called Pierros. It was a really nice Italian place. Mike was a little uneasy about going there. The last time he had been there, he ended up with a fire hose going through his car windows. Chester and Mike waved at them from the back of the resturant. They sat down, Rob with Lan's help. Everyone was there and acounted for. The manager, Bob, took out a bunch of papers as they ordered drinks.
"Alright guys, are you sure you still want to do a tour in light of the recent happenings?"
There was a bunch of nods.
"ok then, we'll want to pick some of the stops, you know, most of the major cities in the US, but are there any other places you want to stop off at when we go overseas?"
"Germany, England, Spain."
Brad said right off. Bob wrote the places down. Mike looked thoughtful.
"I definentaly want to do Tokyo again, maybe we can do australia too, we've never been there."
Mike said as he gave Rav a sideways glance. She just gave him a smile.
"Ireland. I also want to go back to france and scotland."
Rob added. Lan smiled back at Rob as painful as it was.
"Well do you guys want to keep your normal four week break or do you want to do something with it?"
The guys shrugged their shoulders as they looked at their girlfriends/wives.
"What do you think Lan?"
Lan took a sip of her coke.
"Well instead of just one long break for touring, why not cut it up as in a week one place and a week another place? Besides I've picked a date for the wedding."
She said with a glance at Rob.
"Alright, what's the date?"
"I want it to be on June sixth."
bob nodded as he wrote that down. Rob smiled as he gingerly rubbed her hand.
"I think we can work something out. Rob, I can trust that you'll come up with a set list for me like always?"
"You got it bob."
Rob said with a semi-salute. Lan smiled as they went on with their meeting. Mike showed some really cool stage designs that he drew up.
"This year I think we should switch the Drums an the DJ, just to keep things new"
Chester said. The other guys nodded in agreeance with chester. About ten minutes later, Bob had to leave. He left the rest of the guys to their own devices.
"So about the wedding, What all have you done?"
Mike asked casually. Lan smiled.
"Well, I want Rav to be my maid of honor and my four sisters to be brides maids. I think that I want you guys to be ushers as well and Chester, I want you to sing a song for me in the first part with benji and Joel. But untill Rob picks a best man, I cant figure out who to pair who up with."
Lan said as their lunch came.
"wow you actually want me to sing? that's cool. I think I can do it. Just tell me what song and I'll do my best."
(Lan's POV)
I whad a few songs in mind about what I wanted Chester to sing. One was a Japanese song, he might have problems with that one, but the other three would be extreamly easy for him. My dad told me about the song that my mom had played at their wedding. I would even wear my mom's wedding dress. Once we were finished with lunch, Rob took me back home so I could rest. I was extreamly tired. When I went to sleep, I felt as if someone was at the back of my mind. Then suddenly I was in this world that wasnt the real world. It was like the place that my mom would tell me about in stories. I was standing on a japanese style bridge over a small pond with the lilys floating across the water.
"Where am I?"
I wondered out loud.
"Youre at the cross roads between the real world and the spirit world."
I turned around to see someone. It was my mom.
"Mom?"
"I'm so sorry for leaving you at such a young age."
She said as she swept me up into a hug.
"It wasnt your fault. You couldnt help it."
"So tell me about whats been hapening up in the real world. Someone's told me you've become one of the elemental spirits."
I nodded.
"Yeah I'm the spirit of water and fire."
My mom waved her hand and a small stream of water trickeled up out of the pond and she manuvered it around .
"I'm glad to see that you've followed in my footsteps. I'm just so sorry you had to go through a tough time, If you had been fully trained then maybe that last fight wouldnt have been so hard."
My mom said as she lovingly touched my cheek. She looked down at the necklace I was wearing.
"Who is this from?"
"His name's rob, He is my soon to be husband. My someone just for me."
I said as I touched it.
"Does he call you his someone just for him?"
I nodded.
"Yes, I've very happy with him."
"That's good my daughter. Remember though the seccond you get married, all the spirits and elements will be in balance. Your first child will be on its way."
I smiled. My mom was trying to make up for lost time.
"Dad's found someone new, why arnt the spirits out of balance because she isnt one of them?"
My mom smiled as she leaned agains a column of the covered bridge.
"Because I've move on and so has he. The spirits are alive in you."
My mom looked out across the pond.
"I must go and so shall you. Remember that I love you always and be sure to tell Rob that you have my blessing."

*awww* That meeting with her mother was genuinely touching. Had a real *aww/gush* factor that left me staring at my comp screen with a silly grin of contentment going "awww" literally. Just very sweet. I'm seeing cherry blossoms, I'm seeing a Monet style setting with an oriental theme, the arched bridge over a water-lilly strewn pond... bet there's even Koi fish in the water if you look hard enough... that's talent. There's a world evolving in that simple description... just beautiful.
The thing about their first child amused me. Not in a perverted way, but I do wonder how Rob and Lan, being elemental forces now, could actually 'safely' copulate said marriage when, given the heightened sensations that generally occur to us mere normal mortals (when we loose all sense and reason to the moment, so to speak) that even the most hardened Zen-like warrior would be able to harness the kind of destructive forces these too could reak havoc on without even being aware of it.
Poor kid too in having to deal with the same kind of thing too. Hmm. But that in itself opens up all new kinds of possibilities - Poor Lan. Is there a kind of curse that goes along with this? Will something 'accidentally' happen to her once she and Rob marry/concieve a child to keep the flow of this energy (Chi?) continuing on to the next possessor; being their child. Man, intense.
The wedding sounds sweet. A helluva occasion really. Jewish-Irish-Japanese-American... hmm... that's an explosive mix right there! XD

"You mean you actualy saw your mom?"
Rob asked incrediciously. I nodded.
"She said to tell you that we have her blessing."
A big grin broke out on Rob's face. He was extreamly happy about something and I can only guess what he was thinking.
"Are you excited about going on tour with us? I mean we're gonna see the world together."
I nodded as I laid on the bed with Rob's arm draped over my stomache.
"Its exciting. But you know its a little bit intemidating. Even if I've been to the crossroads, the world is a huge place."
I said as my mind wondered. I heard rob say something but I wasnt paying attention. I was thinking on something my mum had said about our first child. I just wondered, what did she mean by it, I mean I'm still a virgin and she said about after we were married.... ah it makes no sense.
"Lan, your spacing again."
Rob said as he brought me back to reality. I shrugged as I leand my head back so I could look at rob.
"I was just thinking about something. thats all."
I said as I looked into rob's brown eyes.
"Oh I wanted you to know that I'm going to ask brad to be my best man."
Rob had started piling stuff in his duffelbag. Bob called him earlier this morning telling him that they would be on a plane to new york later tonight.
"Rob, you are never gonna get everything in there. Here, take all your clothes out and lay them on the bed."
I instructed. Rob just turned his bag upside down and everything fell out. I frowned this was a mess.
"Ok hoodies in one pile, shirts in another, then put you pants up here and then your socks and other stuff here."
I said as I started folding up one of his hoodies. He raised an eyebrow when I was finished.
"Is that my hoodie? I didnt know it could get so flat."
I then put it neatly inside his bag. I started with his next hoodie. He was in awe that his hoodies could be so flat. He was such a guy. I smiled as we continued to fold his clothes the right way.
"Alright, did we forget anything?"
"You forgot to shave this morning, youre looking a little scruffy around the edges."
I said as I handed Rob his razor and toilitries. I also handed him an extra stick of deoderant.
"Are you trying to imply something?"
Rob asked as we finished packing his clothes.
"Yeah your smelly."
Rob made a pouty face. I started packing my clothes as well. Rob put some things in his backpack like his MP3 player and his Gameboy SP.
"Well I see who wears the pants in this relationship."
"Looky who I found lan!"
It was my littlest brother and Chester.
"Bob asked me to pick you two up, you guys ready yet?"
"Almost."
I said as I finished folding up my clothes and grabbed the crutches from the dresser. I ruffeled my brothers hair.
"Make sure everyone is good, your in charge while I'm gone."
I said as he jumped on my bed.
"Come on lan squirb me!"
I tickeled him on his stomache.
"There ya go midget. I'll miss you."
Rob helped me down the stairs. My dad gave me a hug.
"Take care of yourself. Make sure she stays out of trouble Rob."
Rob blushed as we made it into chester's car.
"Alright, we're gonna meet the others at the front enterance. Bob has our tickets and everything."
Chester said as he concentrated on driving.
"Chaz, do you know if Joe brought his fifty cases of red bull and jelly beans?"
Rob asked out of the blue. Chester shuddered.
"I hope not. I'm the one stuck with him on the plane."
We arrived at the airport early so we could get through security. Mike and Rav waved at us from the door. Brad was standing with Taylor, talking about something close to nothing. Dave was with his wife and then there was joe, hyper already from something.
"ok who gave joe sugar?"
Rob asked the moment we got close to them. Everyone shook their heads.
"Its the jelly beans and red bull."
Brad said as hs scooted away from joe. Then another guy with a video camera came up to us.
"Hey guys, who are these lovely flowers?"
Mike frowned.
"Dude, mark, please. This is Rav, Lan, and Taylor. Girlfriends and soon to be wives in some cases."
The guy with the camera started filming even more as Bob handed out the tickets. I manuvered my way inside and we got the bags checked in.

sorry its been so long, got grounded from the computer
Joe bounced around the waiting area like a hyper little kid. He put all my brothers to shame. Mark was busy with his camera trying to get every minute of Joe's stupidity.
"So bob, what are we doing in New York?"
Chester asked intrestedly as some mother steered her child away from joe.
"Umm your going to do a little thing on Daily Download for Fuse Just a little Q and A from the fans."
Bob said as he watched joe get clocked by an old lady with a huge red handbag. we all started laughing as Joe came back rubbing his head. He made a face as he sank to the floor waiting for them to call us for boarding.
"That wasnt the smartest Idea."
Joe mumbeled. Rav, taylor and I tried to hold back our laughter.
"No it probably wasnt."
Dave agreed. They called for us to board the plane. Rob helped me with my crutches as we got into the plane. Most of the plane ride was spent asleep.
"Wow, this place is so big."
I said as I looked out at the skyline of NY city. We checked into a really nice hotel so we could get some sleep before the interview. I was too excited to sleep. I mean this place was amazing since it was the bigger then LA and Dublin put together. It was snowing too! Rob gave a chuckel as I looked in amazement at the snow.
"You know I prefer sand to snow."
Rob said. I shrugged my shoulders.
"I've never seen snow before."
"Not even in Ireland?"
Rob inquired curiously.
"Nope, because of the ocean, there was alwys too much moisture, it was just cold."
I sat down on the bed as the sun peaked up over the skyline. I yawned, I was tired but I didnt want to sleep, I was too excited.
Later that day, I walked with rob and the guys to the fuse place where they would have the q and a session. I can tell you I was really our of my element. All of the newness really overwelmed my senses.
"Come on, its warmer inside."
Rob said as I continued to gaze at the skyline. I nodded and came in with him. We rode an elevator that suprisingly didnt have the anoying elevator music in it. One of the V-jays came up to us and smiled.
"You guys long time no see."
"Yeah Dylan. it has been a while. so when are we going on?"
Mike said as he greated Dylan with a handshake.
"After the comercial break. so go get in place. Your lovely ladies can wait right here with us."
The guys got into place in the studio.
"Alright we're back with the special guest Linkin Park!"
The crowd started cheering.
"Yo whats up?"
Chester said out to the crowd.
"We're here to do a little Q and A with the fans. Who wants to go first?"
A girl with a LPU shirt stood up and flashed a smile.
"Hi, I'm Amanda and my question is for Rob, What was it like for you to be kidnapped? Were you scared at all?"
Rob took the mic from chester.
"In a way I was but I tried not to be afraid because I wanted to be strong for a certaint person. Does that help?"
Another girl stood up.
"Mike, Brad, Rob, is it true you have new girlfriends?"
Mike to the mic from Rob to answer the question.
"Yeah, I have a new girlfriend named Ravynlee, she's one of the most supportive girls I've ever met."
"Taylor's the same way with my guitar playing."
"My Fiancee is also supportive of what I do. We've been through some intresting turns and a whole lot of rough times but, I cant find anyone more loving and amazing as her if I tried."
Rob said as he gave me a smile from on stage. A guy stood up this time.
"I've been hearing about people attacking you rob, what is it that keeps you from loosing a fight to them?"
"Well, I'm fighting for someone that I love and I wont let anything happen to her."
Dylan smiled as he broke up the questioning.
"So guys tell us what your album's going to be like."
Chester took the mic
"Well, You remember how breaking the habit was, well its gonna be more along the lines of that."
Chester said with a huge smile on his face. I tried to adjust my hoodie up a little.
"So right now we're going to the online polls to see which Music video the viewers want played and the winner is......... Somewhere I belong. So how much fun did you have when you made that music video?"
"Kinda scary, Joe likes to put us in danger."
"I'm thinking of a blizard in the next music video."
Joe piped in with an evil grin on his face.
"Dude, that's not funny...."
Mike said shaking his head. Dylan smiled at the cameras.
"So here it is guys, Linkin Park's Somewhere I belong."
They went to the music video and rob, mike, and brad came over and gave us all quick hugs.
"What do ya think?"
Rob asked me. I returned his eager smile.
"Your mind seems to be wandering when your not talking. What's the deal?"
"Aww its just the same old stuff all the time. People always asking us the same questions and what not."
I gave Rob a quick kiss on the cheek
"It could be worse."
"Like how?"
Rob inquired. I pointed over to joe and chester.
"You could be joe...."
I laughed as chester started cracking his knuckels
"Dont you think somethings missing today joe?"
"I absolutly, thoroughly, utterly, compleatly do not think so."
(out of nowhere, chester yanks a chord and a pit appears out of nowhere swallowing joe whole into a pit filled with crickets 'noooooo not the crickets!' joe cries all the way down to the bottem. *cough cough* A/n I have no idea where that came from, I would like to point out that Kenji #2 had a hand in writing this story.
Kenji #2: come on put some more fuzzies in it

Mel: why look, its dear kenji#2, dropout of the human race. This place isnt for you, do you understand?
Kenji #2: You're one to talk. Hey theres still time to put more fuzzies in, quick come over to where I am, we have milk and cookies.
Mel: haha listen to the fool spout nonsense. What is this side you speak of?

Rob: can we please get on with the story?

"Please dont hurt me!!"
Joe wimpered.
"I was only kidding about the blizzard thing!"
Chester wresteled Joe to the ground in a headlock. the crowd started chanting for chester. We all rolled our eyes.
"Chester just keeps hamming it up for the cameras, isnt it nice?"
Mark was still filming a bit of it.
"Chester ham it up? never."
Brad said with a roll of his eyes.
Joe bounced around the waiting area like a hyper little kid. He put all my brothers to shame. Mark was busy with his camera trying to get every minute of Joe's stupidity.
"So bob, what are we doing in New York?"
Chester asked intrestedly as some mother steered her child away from joe.
"Umm your going to do a little thing on Daily Download for Fuse Just a little Q and A from the fans."
Bob said as he watched joe get clocked by an old lady with a huge red handbag. we all started laughing as Joe came back rubbing his head. He made a face as he sank to the floor waiting for them to call us for boarding.
"That wasnt the smartest Idea."
Joe mumbeled. Rav, taylor and I tried to hold back our laughter.
"No it probably wasnt."
Dave agreed. They called for us to board the plane. Rob helped me with my crutches as we got into the plane. Most of the plane ride was spent asleep.
"Wow, this place is so big."
I said as I looked out at the skyline of NY city. We checked into a really nice hotel so we could get some sleep before the interview. I was too excited to sleep. I mean this place was amazing since it was the bigger then LA and Dublin put together. It was snowing too! Rob gave a chuckel as I looked in amazement at the snow.
"You know I prefer sand to snow."
Rob said. I shrugged my shoulders.
"I've never seen snow before."
"Not even in Ireland?"
Rob inquired curiously.
"Nope, because of the ocean, there was alwys too much moisture, it was just cold."
I sat down on the bed as the sun peaked up over the skyline. I yawned, I was tired but I didnt want to sleep, I was too excited.
Later that day, I walked with rob and the guys to the fuse place where they would have the q and a session. I can tell you I was really our of my element. All of the newness really overwelmed my senses.
"Come on, its warmer inside."
Rob said as I continued to gaze at the skyline. I nodded and came in with him. We rode an elevator that suprisingly didnt have the anoying elevator music in it. One of the V-jays came up to us and smiled.
"You guys long time no see."
"Yeah Dylan. it has been a while. so when are we going on?"
Mike said as he greated Dylan with a handshake.
"After the comercial break. so go get in place. Your lovely ladies can wait right here with us."
The guys got into place in the studio.
"Alright we're back with the special guest Linkin Park!"
The crowd started cheering.
"Yo whats up?"
Chester said out to the crowd.
"We're here to do a little Q and A with the fans. Who wants to go first?"
A girl with a LPU shirt stood up and flashed a smile.
"Hi, I'm Amanda and my question is for Rob, What was it like for you to be kidnapped? Were you scared at all?"
Rob took the mic from chester.
"In a way I was but I tried not to be afraid because I wanted to be strong for a certaint person. Does that help?"
Another girl stood up.
"Mike, Brad, Rob, is it true you have new girlfriends?"
Mike to the mic from Rob to answer the question.
"Yeah, I have a new girlfriend named Ravynlee, she's one of the most supportive girls I've ever met."
"Taylor's the same way with my guitar playing."
"My Fiancee is also supportive of what I do. We've been through some intresting turns and a whole lot of rough times but, I cant find anyone more loving and amazing as her if I tried."
Rob said as he gave me a smile from on stage. A guy stood up this time.
"I've been hearing about people attacking you rob, what is it that keeps you from loosing a fight to them?"
"Well, I'm fighting for someone that I love and I wont let anything happen to her."
Dylan smiled as he broke up the questioning.
"So guys tell us what your album's going to be like."

"Well, You remember how breaking the habit was, well its gonna be more along the lines of that."

*cracks up laughing*That was so like a scene straight from Monty Python or something - literally made me burst out laughing. Whack-job. But funny as all ****. Wow... getting into the Xmas spirit in a big way, huh? (sings :"Tis the season to be jolly, falala lalala...")
But as for the story itself. Very sweet. Aww, Rob's such a cutie. Mikey's a honey. Brad and Dave are their usual perceptive selves. Joe's an idiot, and Chas is well... just Chas I guess. But Joe getting clocked with the old lady's handbag at the airport cracked me up - I see Joe doing something similar to that, though after years of acting the goat I'd like to think he'd honed his skills for reading his potential targets a little better than that but *meh* All's fun in love and war, 'eh?
Nice long update so I can't complain about that for once *grins* but I have to ask why you were grounded from the comp? Xmas obligations with family and friends, huh? Hmm. Anyways, glad you're back on again now. And as for the story its quite entertaining. Visual. Humorous. Sweet. Really can't complain about it (not that I ever really have, but still...)
Anyway, thanks. Love it as usual. If I had my way I'd have you locked in a room and paid you to update it several times a day for my own amusement, but being that I can't do that *raises a brow* I guess this will have to do. *laughs*

I got grounded because my sisters made a mess out of the computer room. I'm glad you like the story, as for the little cut scene, I was uhh...well....splitpersonality is a bit of a bourdon. uhh i did it again burdend, bourden same difference -_- I'd take that job offer rav. n_n I'm finally gonna be able to join LPU!! much happiness and more updates to follow

That's the best Xmas pressie I could'a asked for... next to having you-know-who, nekkid as the day he was born, under the you-know-what, like we were hoping for... *sigh* Maybe next year? Might have the cloning process downpat by then, eh? Then it'll be like the movie 'I, Robot,' except every home will have a Bourdon and um... no, scrap that... he's mine. But still... *laughs*
Anyway, on a side note, I do that too; Burden-Bourdon. Especially way back in the day when I didn't know how to pronounce his surname. Sadly I sounded like a d*ck for a bit looking back, calling him phrenetically a Burden. Guess he got ripped at school for that one. Well. Bet he's not getting ripped for it now. *evil smirk*
