I'd help if I could.. it's rechargeable... but I honestly don't want to say yes.. then it doesn't... Hopefully someone else can help.. try PM'g Viking see what he used.

Ok, so the relay arrived today. Can I use the factory switch as the voltage to activate the relay? The voltage to power the lights will come from the battery, and the juice to flip the relay will come from the stock harness. I can do this right? thanks

yep use the stock wiring for the (brown wire from switch, I'm assuming there is no Hi/low on the HID's) coil on the relay, then the heavier gauge wiring / battery / lights all go thru the relay contacts..

I ran into an issue tonight while wiring. When I was running the wire to charge the battery(black from keyswitch) I realized it has 27 v DC. I checked the red keyswitch wire and it has 14v dc. Should I use the red wire? Thanks

The red and the black wire are the same wire.. red before keyswitch..black after.. no idea how you got 27v on that..lol. Red from condenser is not switched by the key switch... so you will have a constant drain to ground on your battery once the condenser charges.... which will be very quickly..

Use the Black wire...

and a 5A fuse..

i have a suggestion for hid kit. You should look at the retrofitting solutions. Get the mini versions and the performance are far superior over the halogen hid kits. :) cheers

I'm still very very happy with this setup on my 4runner. I've been getting compliments every time i have a passenger riding with me. You see, comparing a kit like mine with other cheap-o hid kits in performance wise..... the retrofit wins. No more scattered spots, crystal clear lights, no more blinding people on the road or getting pulled over for "illegal" lights.... mind you it depends on the ******* or good cop and the area.

My photos does not do justice. The bulbs I'm using is only 5k and outperforms a friend's cheap-0 6k and 8k hid kits. I will be putting one of their kits (the retrofit source) into my 450 sometime this summer. I dont do enough night ride to justify that kind of spending money for lights.

Ok, This is what I ended up doing- I used the wires that activate the relay and grounded the black to the frame and ran the red to a 6A flip switch in the rear were it is out of view. Now for the battery charging wire. I took the wire off of the condensor and hooked it back up like factory and hooked my charging wire up to the black 14V wire on the key switch(24v or whatever it was the otherday was because the tester was on the wrong setting) and then ran the wire to the battery along with a 10A fuse. Now for the HID power wires. I ran the red to the battery and hooked it ,and the activation wire, (from the hidden switch) up to the 25A fuse that was included in the kit and grounded the blacks to the frame. I realized that when I had it wired to the OEM lightswitch that I couldn't turn the lights on if the quad was off and kinda asked myself, why did I buy the battery then...so I wired it this way and realized that I really didn't need the relay but I wired it up that way anyway.... Please comment with pointers...Thanks
