Still sounds shady to me. There's always time to answer a 5 minute phone call. Especially if he hired other people. Sounds to me like he just told you what you wanted to hear. Although, in the end you did get a free shipping bill which will hurt his pocket a little bit. And at the same time you can't bug the guy too much or he'll just want your motor gone.

I got an email from Morgan telling me he was sorry for the delay and miscommunication from him... he's sending the carb with work and shipping free of charge.

I'm glad he's doing his best to rectifie the situation. I hope he's finally catching up to his work load.

Thank you Morgan! for doing your best to make my situation right.

Crossed my mind for the shortest second, and then well That woulda just been really gay if they did that. So I just try and not think that lol. If you think about it, its going to end up costing them more money to redo all the parts plus if ups doesn't pay for shipping or anything....Thats gonna be a real nip in the **** to them. Morgan has been making up for his bs that was going on with me, so I'm not gonna say to much about him, but like I said, it would of cost them more money in the end to do that and then send it all out and then have to pay shipping back and what not. I don't think he's quite that stupid. haha

I'd think they'd have shipping insurance so they'd pay a deductable which in the end would probably get written off somehow.

I dunno what your engine shipped in but how hard can a shipping company be that they bend and break bolts like that?

I've seen mechanics get real mad before..

You ever consider that maybe Demon did that to your engine before they shipped it? Just sayin..

First off who are you? Don't hide behind a screenname if you are going to question my or my business' integrity. Not once in the 15 years of doing this have I ever done anything intentionally nor have I taken off with anyone's money. Alec Popp is my first negative feedback since Demon Industries has been in business. There are 2 sides to every story, and I have no problem owning up to the fact that I bit off more than I could chew. Some was my doing, some was not my doing. I left everything I have ever known to move myself and my shop to another city including my family, my home, and most of all my fiance inorder to make Demon Industries go. Why did I move? To be closer to the machinist who has helped me the most in my career.

Alec Popp's motor took to long. It's that simple. Is he telling the full truth? In my opinion, no. Am I tired of hearing about him posting on this site, Facebook, TRX450R.org, QuadForce, etc? Yep, you bet. Did I do what it took to get his motor done, and in a reputable power number, yes. I took the time to wrap everything seperate of the motor so it was not smashed by the motor. I shipped the motor in a standard size tote that we use because the cooler he sent was cut out because the motor would not fit in it in the original configuration, so was I suppose to wedge it in there and scratch the motor up? Nope. Why did I not buy a new cooler? Good question. Reason because I ate LOTS of money on this build. I charged Alec $200 for the labor to build the motor. And another $100 to tune the motor. Please find me a builder that will build a complete motor, and tune it for $300. Let's not forget that I pulled every bearing out of the cases so that they could be powdercoated for the same money. Put it in a chassis, tuned it, and removed it from the chassis for $100. He sent a DASA pipe to get powdercoated, not in the original quote. No end cap in the package, no sweat ordered a new one from DASA ($79) my cost. Didn't pay to PC the pipe or end caps, so sweat ($80). Didn't pay for the 5 gallons of VP C-12 to tune the motor, no sweat ($60). Didn't pay for the adjustable cam gear used in the motor, no sweat ($36). Didn't pay to have the wideband 02 bung welded into the pipe, no sweat ($25). Dyna ignition he sent did not work, no spark on a brand new Dyna programmable igntion, but starts fine with a stock CDI. No sweat, I'll program my personal Dyna and send it so he can ride. Didn't pay to ship the motor, no sweat ($75). Didn't pay for shipping on the other parts of the build (pipe, carb, ignition, spare parts), no sweat $25 for 2 seperate boxes.

Now, with all the prices that you see that I ATE, please tell me why I would damage a motor to cause myself more heartache that myself and Alec have put Demon Industries through?

If you continue to post what you think happened, and continue to take shots at my company, I will turn this over to my lawyer for a Defamation Lawsuit. Catch my drift?

For those of us who know your work ethic and respect for others Morgan, as well as the whole story, I have no doubt in my mind that you will continue successfully. I see in this learning experience you'll have to learn to draw the line at some point before your generosity digs a pot hole or even deeper. You're a first class guy and as long as you keep your business going as it is, respect will follow ever more quick.

Demon shipped my motor in a tote and it showed up just fine. I know morgan would never do that to a motor. He takes pride is his work.

Like I said, this thing was very well packaged when it arrived. I don't blame morgan for any of this. This is all ups, they really beat the **** outa my motor on the way here. Morgan had said the toat was pretty much brand new when he sent it out, and when it got here it was all dented, and holes were wore into the bottom because of being dropped so many times. SO I gave him a call, told him what had happened. he then immediately had started to help me out. Communication between us has improved dramatically lol. So like I said none of this is going on Morgan.

4 months later.... is everything cool between you and Morgan???
Dude....heck no! I still pretty much hate the guy and I think that goes both ways. Id rather not talk about it. Because he's got people that will sit here and say stuff about how he's not. But wtf do they know. There not me. So Im not gonna say anything except we will never talk again.
