couple weeks ago I had to put my mastiff/chow mix Buffy (after Buff Bagwell) down. She had lymphoma, and yes, I balled my eyes out. I had her 10 years, and putting her down was about the hardest thing I have ever had to do.I bawled when I had to put ol' Geddy (an homage to Geddy Lee of Rush) down and then I got Rowdy (An homage to Roddy Piper.) and he was bit by a cottonmouth and died from the venom.
Now its just Bizmark and me, we're doing an off off Broadway musical on our life together.
Occasionally Buddy, my black lab, will run through the house looking for her, and it breaks my heart. He, too, has been rather spoiled since I put Buffy down.- lots of cookies, and those big rawhide chew bones. He misses her a lot, and it is very evident in the way he behaves. I got Buddy as a puppy, and Buffy has been around his whole life. It's hard on both of us.
