Filters dont really do you any good, stick to brush's and patterns. to make a pattern, make a new image, 5x5 pixels. You can either draw a horizontal line in the midle of it for scan lines, horizontal line for a horizontal line pattern. Mess with the opacity on the layer its on. Brush's, search vbrush in google, i forget... actually let me find the site. http://veredgf.fredfarm.com/vbrush/main.html there we go.

I think just by not have straight edges, it looks better. I'll keep working on it. I'm in the Air Force and it's hard to find time but I'll do what I can.
