Thinking he is saying... Money coming in is needs to be greater then money going out.

Put a grand in the savings account to start for emeregys. Sell everything that you make payments on (even cars). Go buy a beater if you have to and give it a name. lol Sell everything that you need to to pay off you cc. Then save enough money to cover you 3 to 6 months. cut up your credit cards. Then your free to buy toys. The link that I posted above is well worth your time!

Selling my wife's car seems a little extreme. Mine is paid for and hers is $400 a month and a year and a half left on it. I think it'd be a bad move to sell it now. If we can tough it out I'd rather pay hers off and have two paid for vehicles. Selling my quad seems stupid because I can't get enough out of it to make it worth selling since I have so much money put into it. I looked around last night and didn't see anything I could get rid of or make any money off of. I have a used exhaust off of a couple quads I want to get rid of but no one seems to want around here.

Honestly I think I just spend more than I think I do on stupid ****. Since this thread started I haven't spent a dime on anything I don't need other than cigarettes which we all know is harder to quit then you think.

Guess your cc is 200 to 250 a month and a 400 car payment is adding up to be a lot when your trying to go to school. Of course its always easier to give advice then to follow it yourself.

Its your call...

ditch the I-phones/droids and the bloated cell plan, that is the biggest waste of money these days. get the cheapest phone and a basic plan.

my quad is 9 years newer than my car and truck, I got my insurance from costco and saved about $50 a month, I contribute 15% to my 401K and have about $500 in credit card debt just to maintain the card and keep my credit score up

I paid off $45,000 in credit card debt in 3 years after my divorce. never again. I have managed to keep my house and get my credit score back up to 700. So it can be done. while in school you gotta live on the cheap and ride out this economy

keep what you have paid off! its always more expensive to replace it later. as for the $400 a month payment car as long as you are making enough money to pay it you are good but if its putting you more into debt every month i would sell it and buy a cheaper car you can pay cash for. atleast until you get out of the hole
