It's slower and more mellow, but it's not emo.

The only song remotely close is Valentine's Day.

What band doesn't have songs in these days that sound emo. There is no way that this album is emo. The music is great but it is much softer than any other album.

I think that's what it is about it that makes me think it's kinda emo, it's actually not, it's just slower in comparison to the other songs they've done.

I agree with Friðbjörn. It's more emotional if that's what emo means. But, it's mainly some new stuff that they seem to be trying out. I'm sure that this new album won't sell as much as Hybrid Theory or Meteora. But, it's still a good album.

Yeah, people really do not know what true emo music is. Most of the music and bands people are classifying as emo lately, aren't even emo at all. However, judging from the way the term is evolving lately to include bands of that nature... I guess you could say that overtime the definition of emo is changing. It happens with genre's of music all the time lately. Especially since the new millennium.

linkin park is not emo but could sound like it to some people but fans should realize they just have very powerful songs but if u call mike or chester emo thats an insult to the music theyve made they rock and will always rock cuz there mofackin LP!

Alright I think there is an abuse of the term emo lately... I'm literally sick of hearing everybody ******** at bands or people cause they're emo. We are human beings! We have weak moments, we DO get emotional, we do fall in love, we DO get hurt! Shouldn't songs talk about these feelings too? The moment a singer stops screaming and sings about something more sentimental here comes ********!! "They're emo ewww the're emo!!" Emo is different... If someone starts singing about how hopeless life is and how death and slitting wrists is the only way and booohooo my life is unbearable I have no reason to exist then YES call them emo, by all means!! But get a grip please... And to answer the question after all this ranting, NO Lp isn't emo! :D
