Is Shinoda leaving LP for good?

I noticed on The Rising Tied. Believe Me and Get Me Gone... Kinda sounds like Mike Shinoda is going to leave LP for good...

In Believe Me:

Sounds like it -could- be saying Mike is staying with FM and never going back to LP.

soem of get me Gone seems to be him saying how chester (?) is crazy, saying LP sould be rock only, dispite the fact that the whole idea what that thier band was a hybrid theory - rap and rock. And the whole Hahn in a lab coat and cowboy's hat... I agree with mike there - that's weird.

Also, Mike says when they where recording the FIRST linkin park album... does this mean Hybrid Theory EP, or not because then they where called Hybrid Theory, and it mean when they where officially renamed to Linkin Park and where making thier album, hybrid theory.

So what's going on here?

As for you Wuzzie, in Beleive Me, yeah, he does sing that. But Mike himself has confirmed that LP is not breaking up. So whatever the chorus was meant for, or meant to show, it wasn't about him leaving LP.

As for Get Me Gone, you interpreted the lyrics wrong... the entire point of this track was to call out to LP critics, and people who have wronged them.

And he's talking about Hybrid Theory, not Hybrid Theory EP. Linkin Park's first official album was Hybrid Theory.

Mike's been saying it, Phi said it, LP's making a new album, and unless that breaks them up, they're not breaking up, and Mike not leaving, well, that would make them break up I think lol

Also, for us n00bs who don;t know EVERYTHING about LP, I think we should have a "Linkin Park's current status" topic, where basicly people post exactly what's going on with LP, ie. new songs/demos, if they are peforming live, if a member is leaving/joining, etc etc etc. It'd just make things easier.

and what is Believe me about anyway? If it's not about him dropping LP.... what is it about? I just can't put my finger on it....

I haven't heard Get me gone, so I can't say, but as Cyro said, I'd think it's about people who critize LP, kinda like High Road, right?

Well of course you can't put your finger on Believe me. At least with Mike's parts, it's basically LP style type of lyrics, universal, with a broad range for interpretation. I don't think it's about any one situation.

I was watching mtv the other night and it said mike had a new band hes started up, this was a shock to me as this always means that bands are on the way out. One band member decides to go and do stuff alone and the rest of the band falls apart. I really hope this is not the case for LP.

LP is really dedicated, and they are all great friends.

There will be a new LP song coming out soon, on a mictape for thier record label. New Album by Mid 2006, so everything is looking good.

On Get Me Gone, Mike is probably talking about one of the Warner executives at the beginning and end. In the middle, hes talking about how the magazienes and stuff used to to print articles about how LP were fake and stuff. HE IS NOT TALKING ABOUT CHESTER! lmao He specifically says

"And my band had my back so we did the tracks"

BTW, that is the worst thing Ive heard since I heard someone say that Cigarettes promoted smoking. You guys really need to listen to the lyrics more... And that has nothing to do with being a n00b...
