Same here they told me 185 maybe even a 195 out in glamis, when I had it dyno'ed I ended up at 168, 185 was way fat. my dyno chart is isn the dyno section comparing the 185 to the 168

The reason they recommend we go so high is so they don't get blamed if your bike blows up after the install of the pipe. LOL

I remember Alan's thread about the Dasa / Jetting, what him and DP are telling you is right.. 185 is too big. Try down in 162, 165, 168 ranges.. or get it dyno'd.

Just info.. it's the same as HMF recommending 48 pilot for 06+ with their pipes... see the number of threads about "Can't start when hot"

Cool thanks guys if wht ive always heard is right the main only kicks in on the upper 1/2 of the rpms. If that's true is it the pilot that is the reason it is tough to start all the time?

Main is after 1/2 - 3/4 throttle.. see diagram for what affects what..

Hard starting could be your valves / decomp, pilot, fuel screw, idle adj. Check your valves (see Ghotts info posted on here) set up your decomp. Then post up your current jetting if that doesn't work.. pilot should be 42 or 45 on 06+
