Las Vegas Debate Is Most-Watched Primary Debate on Record

CNN's Democratic Presidential debate last night was the most-watched
debate this cycle.

CNN says it's also the highest-rated primary debate of all time.

Nielsen fast national final data (Live +SD) shows the 8pm-10:09pmET
debate averaged 4.036 million total viewers.

The debate was also the highest-rated debate in the adult demo, with
1.123 million A25-54 viewers.

Iowa GOP, Fox cancel Republican debate

The Iowa Republican Party has just sent an e-mail canceling a Dec. 4 debate
it planned to co-sponsor with Fox News. The party cited scheduling
conflicts -- and sounded miffed.

"It is too bad that a candidate wouldn't want to take advantage of this
kind of debate with representation from all 99 Iowa counties in the
audience, let alone the fact Fox News Channel has had the most viewers of
any debate," said Chuck Laudner, executive director of the Iowa GOP.

Republicans will still be a presence in Iowa. There is an NPR radio-only
debate set for Dec. 3 and a Des Moines Register debate scheduled Dec. 12.
The caucuses are on Jan. 3.

That's 1.3% of the population.

Meaning that 98.7% had something, anything, better to do....
