Dude, that's a bit harsh. While it appears to be a sensitive issue, there's really no evidence that points in either direction that this is A) real and if it is B) going to effect the band in any substantial way, we can all relate to the feeling of being sold out somewhat - but in truth they are 6 individuals who have opinions and issues of their own to deal with. My greatest concern, as I stated before, was not about the fact they've apparently traded making music to fighting the finer politics of it, is not what the band hope to achieve out of this, or even if they care about anyone else - they don't have to. This is not a marriage, we are fans who chose to follow them, blindly, casually, to the point of manic obsession, whatever. They don't care if one leave the fold, they probably wont care if 100 do. They are CAREER musicians, not career fan-idols, that's a side perk. If they chose to claw tooth and nail for the last nickle between them then so be it - I just don't want their music to suffer, because at the end of the day that's what they will/should be remembered for. On the whole their reputation is on shaky ground... but if they pioneer a better working relationship out of this then all the better, they may help pave the way for others - good for them. They always like doing things their way anyway.**** linkin park!!!! They have completely sold out all their fans around the world. They saved lives and related universal situations to people all for their pleasure of earning money. I bet they don't even care how the new album turns out or how bad it critizied by their fans because in the end they just shrug their shoulders and mutter "At least I'm still earning the amount of money i made this album for". I myself have been an LP from the start and have been with them since but this is an outrage and shows their true self and why they really wanted to do music: money. I hope they get dropped or break up now. They better hope that they still have a place a lot of their fans' hearts...cause they are no longer in mine.
ok maybe i was being a little bit too over the top. It just makes me angry to see that artists' date=' professional sports players, or whatever, bury their focus on what they love to become just an act to earn loads of money and then get upset when they don't think their getting paid enough.[/quote']
So lets put it like this. If WB was making millions you felt you derserved youd just put say oh well lets let it slide? I mean like I said we are only reading what's in the papers their may be more to it.
Well at least one person is taking this well.Well now that LPF has just become.... well.... F....

I don't see what is wrong with making music for money. I mean, what is a job for if not to make money? They still make quality material, they are still dedicated to their fans, they are still Linkin Park. ReAnimation was an excellent albumn. Although it sticktly didn't have any "new" material, it was quality because of how they remixed their songs and the suttle differences from the original tracks. Collision Course enraged some people. But they did that albumn for their own enjoyment. Mike had always wanted to work with JZ, what an excellent opportunity. LIT, well many bands release Live albumns. As I'm not apart of the LPU I don't often miss out on the goodies, but these albums give a share of LP to all fans. Even if they had been made to make money, how is it any different to Meteora and HT? Just because it required "less work" doesn't make it any less in quality. ****, I've done some of my best essays in one nights work. Linkin Park haven't sold out, they diserve the money.Well, at the risk of causing a rucus, I am going to say something...
Linkin Park is not concerned with thier new album. Our thier tours. All they want is the money, and they want to make as much money as they can making as little music as they can. I mean, look at what they are doing. Every chance they get they are trying to make money off of this or that, instead of actually making new music and making money off of that.
ReAnimation, Collision Course, and LIT are all examples of albums that made millions and required less work then a real orignal album. And then you've the Warner incident and now this.
They only care about the money...they have sold out.
You need to go to EDIT n order u some chill pills.Tonz']well linkin park have stated since like the beggining of the wrangling with warner that they feared that warner WERE taking profits off ALL the muscians they had contracted, NOT just linkin park, and that warner were putting shitall BACK into the band.its more a matter that so what if linkin park want money? WHO DOESNT!
they ******* earnt it. all u idiots who care SOOOOO much about wat lp are doing OUTSIDE the music...-_-
in any case, its the other guy who is leaving the firm, and POSSIBLY taking linkin park with him to start his own company thing. it makes sense, wen business partners pull out to start their own firms, they need high profile members to attract other members.
it jus happens to be LP, maybe theyre doing this to HELP him rather than just making money, the money may just be a fricken bonus!
and to ALL of u hu think mike and chester want out of LP, SCREW YOU IDIOTS!
i dont know HOW many times Mike and Chester are questioned about their solo acts. i mnean CMON, so wat?
Mike did this bcoz he was missing his hip hop roots, and in any case, mike was always doing this as a side act while LP were taking a break, and a chance for him to reconnect to what made him Mike Kenji Shinoda in the first place-rap and hip hop.
lets also not forget mike has been working NON stop on the new LP album, as well as basically taking on the full work of actually producing it.
and lets not forget chester, hes DELAYED his solo album so he can work on the new LP album, i mean CMON, if chester wanted out, or mike did, Fort Minor and B.O.W wooda been a PERFECT chance to leave
please nobody question Linkin Park, theyve done TOO much for us fans for u idiots to jus backstab them. lets not forget wat theyve done- set up charities, played charity concerts, given FREE concerts for LPU fans, MET lp fans, started the Projekt Revolutions, connected with the fans and MUCH, MUCH more.
this is a plea from myself to not turn ur back, but to be behind them watever they do.
bcoz they deserve EVERY dollar they earn, bcoz everything they do iths for us, they woodnt BE here if it wasnt for the fans, and they know this, they repay the faith with GREAT music and being the great guys they are.
