SYDNEY -- Paybox Foxtel has secured rights to Al Gore's Live Earth concert Down Under, the first in a series of events aimed to raise awareness of climate change. July 7 concert in Sydney will feature a reformed Crowded House, Grammy winners Wolfmother and thesp Toni Collette with her band, the Finish.
Foxtel will produce and supply the international TV feed from Sydney to an estimated global audience of more than 2 billion people.
Beginning July 7, the paybox's flagship channel Fox8 will commence the 24-hour international telecast of the global concert series, starting with Sydney and crossing to the other events as they get under way in Tokyo, Shanghai, Johannesburg, London, Rio de Janeiro and New York.
