omg @ me being the only APFMH person.

Faint wasn't that great. I bet you all did it for the intro and if you watch it on LIT, Rob actually doesn't own that >_<

Mark that is t3h 1337 drum tab, that's true, but so are a few other IMO.

But dude, had I voted for Faint, it would have been for the chorus tab, just so awesome, plus the final part where he plays like crazy but still makes sense, almost orgasmic.

And yeah, that's true, either Joe or Mike created the intro, you can hear it on the album, it's a sample.

i like the intro to figure 0.9 but overall it has to APFMH followed VERY shortly by Dont Stay

Good freakin' grief you guys are stupid

It's easier to run

Anybody could play faint. But to play Easier to run... triplets on the bass, with sixteenths on the HI hat, and not even Straight sixteenths like PFMH.and then to figure out the pattern to get the ghost note on the snare every other measure.

it takes a lot of skill to do that one. I can do the other ones with my eyes closed....well, I can do this one with my eyes closed too, but still... lol...

It's just Easier to Run

But, in Grey Daze, it's either Morei Sky or anything anything

who the **** you callin stupid? is the poll asking which has the most complex drummin pattern? NO, its what sounds better for each person, hence there being so many choices, damm, if u want a ****** medal for being so "talented" then go join a drumming forum of something IDK, plus i thought u quit everything lp related cuz u became a man of the cloth and some priest "opened ur eyes"?

He speaks the truth.... This thread is not for complex drumming... its a song for favorate drumming, so stop dissing people and ****, cause alot of us won't take kindly to it...

My favorate is A Place For Me Head and Faint.... the drumming in those both rocked!

Yup, a man of the cloth shouldn't talk like that, well of course no one should talk like that, but I would not have expected this.

Let's not make this a fight.

Agreed, back to the topic,

i do like the drumming on easier to run though, rob's drumming improved ten fold after HT IMO

What is that supposed to mean?

No, the topic says "BEST LP DRUMMING" Period. Not 'favorite' or 'best sounding' it says "Best drumming,"

Being a drummer. I happen to know that it takes a lot more skill to play EtR than any of the other **** there.

But even still, I wasn't trying to diss anybody. You know as well as I do (at least I HOPE you know) that emotions don't translate well into type. You can't possibly understand what I mean when I say you people are stupid.

But if you want to start stuff, fine. I don't care. I came back to post on some of my favorite subjects but the first post in forever just gets griped out by a bunch of kids who don't know anything about rhythm. If you do, PROVE IT. Come on, make a liar out of me.

I thought you guys were cool.

But I was wrong.

Guess not.

Look, I'm a drummer, and that's my opinion on it. Let's not start a fight.

Cool?

Faint's got some good beats, but it's not my cup of tea, its too easy.

Faint's got some good beats, but it's not my cup of tea, its too easy. Faint is a good song to get done, but when you gotta prove who you are, and what you can do, it's all about ETR. Faint gets your blood pumping and ready to go if you're a drummer. But anybody can play fast and loud. A drummer's skill is noted in how well he plays in slow and quieter songs.

Which is why I voted for ETR.

reflectionist i'm with you, i play drums too and the high hat alone on easier to run is better and takes more skill than any other part of any other song.

faint is just as simple as a basic backbeat.. all it is is the most overused hip hop beat, if he would have taken a couple of the snare hits out of each measure to make it sound more syncopated it would have been a lot better. but it still sounds good.

just to let you know you're not alone

Dang, how did I miss this thread? *looks puzzled* Anyway, being a huge fan my opinion is gonna be biased. I'm not a drummer so I have no clue as to the dynamics of rhythm and so forth. What I do know is Don had a point; yes Rob has improved immeasurably since the early days, but even by his own admission (and Don Gilmore on the Making of Meteora) Rob started putting a lot more into it during the formative period of and including Meteora and it really shows. The album itself has a grander sound, the whole sound is more mature and the band themselves reflect the attitude. Having said that I personally think it's hard to find any one that works above all others. BTH is my fav LP song but as far as drumming goes probably not his best. Faint I love but also it's basic, but it does get the heart going and I guess that's what's important. I like ITE because I adore the big bass sound... but I could also be biased by what I've read over time from the man himself in regards to his favs. In an LPtimes article I recall Rob saying once his fav LP song to listen to was ITE, his fav song to play was ETR and the hardest song to play was BTH. *shrugs*

Anyway... I love BTH. It's not my fav but I still love it. Rob rocks. That's all there is to it. :D
