I have said this to Azem before

You may not be putting them up for download but its still illegal to braodcast songs without permission. It's not as bad in my opinion though so thats all good but now you have another problem facing you.

You don't have a static IP unless you know someone that has paid to have a static IP you will have to changed the link daily or whenever you sign off.

The person who sets up the station needs to have a very high upload bandwidth for example; Azem has a 50KB upload which means he will be able to support around 10 people on 56kbps stream and 5 on Near CD quality. As you can see this isnt enough, though the is a way around that is for someone to connect to the original stream and play it meaning the will relay it. So if you get enough people u could get a higher capacity limit but of course that means trying to keep track of IP's even more then ever. Though with the right amount of people and commitment it can work fairly well

that'd be a cool idea. very interesting.... but as stenners says...tis illeagal..... so how are we gonna get premission to play them?

It would be a good idea if we had someone that had a server with a good connection aswell as great programming skills so they could make some program where people login so it registers them as a streamer automatically and we had a website that picked that info up and linked it.

Its not a good idea if ur relying on people to do it manually on a home pc as once the primary stream goes, the others go. Making the domino effect.

I think it's a good idea, but I think they should play stuff besides LP. Like similar artists, not necessarily ones that LP has done stuff with. If it's all LP/FM, most of us have that stuff anyway.

I don't think the legallities are a big deal. It's just radio. haha

Well seeing that this would be LPF it would be akward if were playing Cheryl Crow. But I see where you are coming. Hence why I recomended we play bands/rappers that are somehow tied in to LPF For EG, We could play Gold Chain by PLanet Asia becuase he was featured on Reanimation, or we could play Girls by Motely Cure becuase Chester Did a song with them. And we could play hollaback girl becuase gwen sang a osc cover. But we cant play beyonce becuase she hasnt done anything LP related yet.

edit: well as for legallities, people constantly stream songs by artists and never(from my basic knowledge) get persucuted for it. I suppose as long as we dont try to make a profit off.

As for stenners thing about everybody logging on and streaming (if thats what you meant) then how would we manage it?

No, we have one station, and when noone is Djing, it will be on AutoDJ, and then anyone with the password to the server can log in and start DJing.

Ill set a server and a system up soon hopefully.

That can easily be sorted out if people have some sort of time slot u could IM them for a request.
