why dont Renai and Rav do it in Brissy?

and Ruth and Gemma in Canberra?

I nominate Vash/LP186 to be leader.

I know what we can do, have a little table in front of Utopia with LP posters and stuff. and i'll ask my boss to print it some pamphlets or something....

um...having a table infront of utopia means we would have to pay utopia/the council or the cinema..

also we would get beaten up by the lp haters.

i think the street team idea is a really good one.

even though id love to be on it i know i wont but im still behind the idea 100%.

my only concerns with the idea is that people would get all cocky about being a ST member, plus, if people are out advertising it, your gonna get the dickheads that are gonna pick up the LPF address and just spam it with hatemail and "how to please your wife" ****.

I think a better idea, would be to have a referrel system. Where each member emails there friends, inviting them to join LPF, and when a person that member invited joins, that member gains a certain amount of points. And at the end of each month, the member with the most points, gets some sort of award, like a lil pic to put in there sig, like "Best Referrer for Jan 06". I know the LPF already has a referal system, but its pointless, there is no gain in it, its just a number that sites in your profile.

Anyways I agree w/ Shadowfax (love you username :p ) some brats may come and spam but well if there will be awards then obviously it will be on who was the best member to promote and not just bring in spamers...It's kinda hard to explain what I mean..meeeh I did my best :rolleyes:

Actually some one did a long time ago..forgot who it was.

I don't think they made a thread about it because lpf was a bit smaller so they didn't think it would really work.

Yeah, I mentioned it once, a long time ago when I was a noob, but people werent keen on the idea. :(

i'm sure i heard Mike once....i think in the Live in texas dvd.. if i'm not mistaken ...saying something like: "respekt to the LPU and the street teamers over here "and pointed to some kids infront moshing So i thought LP already has a Street Team??!! They don't have one already?? :eek:

Hey if this new LPST will be free to sign for count me in as an online member (promoting online....since i'm from the middle of nowhere i have small chances to receive promo material) I'll promote my *** out for LP....i have experience from KoRn ST i finnished on top50 at the last contest (position 28!! :)

If it dosent have one, Linkin Park needs a Street Team!

i also think we should have 2 or three from each country and people who are willing to do this, not people who just puts their hand up and not actually get around doing anything

2 or 3 people from each country isn't exactly going to bring in many or any new members lol. It should be fun and if people wanna help promote LPF, then they should be able to :)

When I was doing it for the competition a bit back, and trying to get people to go on the site (We stood on the balcony with the banner that I painted and anybody that walked by or cars that drove by, we shouted "Visit the Linkin Park Forums people!!!!") The banner did get lots of people to look at it, I'm not sure if anybody actually went onto the website though haha, but it was a bit of fun and lots of people noticed it was Linkin Park \m/

It's interesting and fun though *nods*. I don't know anything about how you would do it on the streets, like handing out fliers and stuff, I've never done that kinda stuff before. I also wonder about abuse that you may get from non LP likers and "goths" as well, as somebody mentioned lol. It's still a very good idea though, I think it'll work especially well if you start this up once Linkin Park are coming out with their new album, it'll help LP get noticed once again (It's been a long time since they've released anything, lots of people may have "forgotten" them or something), and it'll bring new members to the forums because of interests in the band and what's new:)

I do remember at the Taste Of Chaos gig that I went to which has many bands playing, this girl on the Funeral For A Friend (one of the best bands that played that night) street team handed out badges and a lot of people took them and wore them though *Including me, but I'm already a fan of them anyway* :D

I agree; if this is going to happen you need to do it around when the new album is coming out, which is when there will be the most interest in Linkin Park. Right now, to be honest, not a lot of people are that interested because, well, LP isn't doing anything really. Do it when there is alot of interest in the band.. it will be alot more successful then.
