there was a girl or a boy here on the net telling me the album isn't called Fort Minor -dear now listen up the album is called this way and Rising tide is a project that the album contains-i have the proof
The LPU confirmed on the site that Mike is releasing his side project album under the name "Fort Minor", with a tentative release date set for late summer of this year. It includes collaborators such as Common, Black Thought of the Roots, Kenna, Styles of Beyond, and female vocalist Holly Brook. He gave also an interview to BALLERSTATUS.net where he revealed more facts about it. "It's called Fort Minor, instead of my name because there are a bunch of other people involved in the project. But I only wanted to work with family and friends; people that I feel are really close to me and we see eye-to-eye. Besides that, Fort has a militant meaning and Minor in music is a smaller, darker, sadder note, so the name is a reflection of the music." Furthwermore he explained: "Jay is not performing on [the album]. I did not want to put him in that position. I just wanted to have respect for his retirement to be honest, but he's executive producing the record and is with me every step of the way basically."
INTRODUCING FORT MINOR
While Linkin Park is off the road, Mike Shinoda has been working on a side project album titled �The Rising Tied� under the name Fort Minor. The album includes collaborators such as Common, Black Thought of the Roots, Kenna, Styles of Beyond, and vocalist Holly Brook. The album is executive produced by Jay-Z and is expected to hit stores late summer.
