Yet another 'honour killing' in Pakistan
Thursday, 29 November , 2007, 18:41
Islamabad: A girl in Pakistan's Punjab province became victim of an
'honour killing' when she was axed to death by her father and close
relatives for allegedly having an affair with a boy from her locality.

The girl was killed after her father, Farooq Khan Baloch, became
suspicious that his daughter was having an affair with Amjad, a
youngster in Jhang tehsil in Punjab province. Seeing them together,
Farooq with relatives Sher Khan, Asghar Khan and Riaz Khan, axed the
girl to death, while the boy managed to escape, The Dawn newspaper
reported on Thursday.

The police have registered a case. It said that 'honour killings' are
widespread among rural Muslim tribes in Pakistan where the victims are
mostly female.

The spilling of blood under the garb of honour is mostly at the behest
of close family members with the aim of undoing the perceived loss of
wider family status owing to the actions of the victim.

Ghazala, a woman in the Punjab province's Joharabad, was set on fire
by her brother on January 6, 1999. She was murdered because her family
suspected her of having an illicit relationship with a neighbour.

Women in Pakistan face death by shooting, burning or killing with axes
if they are deemed to have brought shame on the family. They are
killed for supposed illicit relationships, for marrying men of their
choice, for divorcing husbands. They are even murdered by their kin if
they are raped as they are thereby deemed to have brought shame on
their family.

Often, the truth of the suspicion does not matter; merely the
allegation is enough to bring dishonour on the family and therefore
justifies the slaying.

Just because Bush makes some claim does not mean it is so. If you
thought Islam was a peaceful religion, then you are too easily
influenced by what Bush says. Wake up: he is a liar.

This sort of thing is common in Muslim countries where all human,
intellectual, cultural and economic progress was stopped dead in its
tracks about 1200 years ago by that life-hating religion of theirs.
Islam hates human advancement of any type. So far, crashing hijacked
planes into buildings has been the intellectual high water mark of
Islam. They have an archaic, backwater view of women because they have
an archaic, backwater view of the universe and that ****ed up religion
of theirs forbids even considering any other view.

Gee, sounds just like fundamental evangelism.

While you are evaluating, perhaps you could comment on the "Militant
Mickey Mouse".

The closest thing to that I've ever heard of is the Hitler Youth.

Another thing you might comment on. Is the penalty for leaving
evangelism death - as it is in Islam?

Yes, it would seem as though the hope of world peace ended in the 7th
century.

And as the faith-based funding dollars shrink in the post-Bush era - these
crazy, desperate confidence men will only get crazier and more desperate.

While i suspect that you are correct it is hard to visualize politicians
getting any crazier. The trend is certainly in that direction but what
horror is next for the USA?

Here in Texas, what's next is George Bush's return.
He's already bought a home in Dallas, near where his "library" will be.

He'll likely be forming a "ministry" here to take advantage of our
government out-sourcing to churches.

The muslin's march to the beat of a different drummer no doubt.

Any of the women that complain about their life in the US should go
live in a muslin country for a while.

It's the same same drummer to which the Christians march.

I can easily visualize Dubyah holding a tent revival, rolling on the floor

I hope he swallows his.

You are both crazymother****ers.

Allah, Satan, and Jesus do not exist. Invisible friends are examples of

Read the Quran. It has a lot to say about killing Infidels. Muslims
recite these Quranic sayings 5 times a day during their prays. In
some sense, they are brainwashed and act as though they have blinders
on when it comes to politics. Of course, they will tell you the exact
opposite - that you have blinders on.
