Your religious bias is showing.

Different people have different ideas as to what the universe is
to some the earth is their universe, I.e. "global warming is a universal
phenomenon" (I just read that). To others the universe is our solar
system. To others the universe is the entire cosmos. I personally
subscribe to the latter. This cosmos is _all_ we can observe.
So we have direct empirical evidence of only the cosmos.
Everything else is pure supposition.

Are you not speaking in terms of our solar system, if so I would
agree. It was formed 4.56^9 years ago.

With all due respect, I must disagree. There is evidence for the
big bang. such as the expanding universe, the Cosmic Microwave
Background, which is the residual radiation from the BB explosion.

There is only a very few scientist who reject the BB theory. It is
actually the standard accepted theory by the overwhelming
majority most physicist, astro-physicist and astronomers.

I have read the "Elegant Universe". Also his string theory
has been on ETV at least two times. So I am somewhat familiar
with his work. But it's all supposition. Many scientism from Einstein
to Green to Hawking have tried to develop a unified field theory
which could encompass the four (Six according to Wheeler)
fundamental laws into one.
But no one has come up with a single prediction in which to test even
one of the 11 string theories or the "unified" string theory - "M" theory

Best Wishes,

You got the chicken and egg, or cause/effect back to front. No
consciousness, means no activity to begin with.

> Only the brain is constructed to support such activity.
>

and a slight adjustment here would read : The Brain is created or
constructed to support the activity of consciousness in the physical.

The brain runs on physics/biology etc. while the consciousness is Pure Being
the power behind physical reality. A faulty brain limits the expression of
consciousness into this reality. Brain dead stops that expression in the
current form, but the consciousness continues and does not die, unlike the
physical body.

a nde/obe is often enough to prove that to an individual without the need
for physical death, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're willing to
re-formulate your world view much larger than it currently is. ;-)

This is your stock in trade. By calling someone a liar that is an all,
be
all
end all for you. I read your responses to others it seems anyone who
don't
agree with you you call a liar. No further reasoning is necessary so
far as
you are concerned.
It's your stock in trade. I refuse to deal with this any longer.

I did not say I doubt your existence. I said I cannot know you exist
with absolute certainty. And there is nothing you can do to prove it
to me, even though it is absolutely certain to you.

You mean my political bias is showing.

I can't have any religious bias because I do not subcribe to any
religion.

I am a Jesuitical Heathen Troll, which is about as far from being
religious as you can get. Atheists are frauds so they don't count.

Yeh? So what? This sort of speculation is fruitless. We accept the
existance of the universe as an axiom because we must, not because we
choose to. There is simply no alternative.

As a set of cognitive beliefs, religion is a speculative hypothesis of
an extremely low order of probability.

I'll bet my hat against the hole in a doughnut that you have not been
conversant with British politics for the last 20 years. I've been a
happy ex-pat for nine; I've met real commies (usually a humorless
bunch).

If you live Over Here, vote LibDem. If you're not, then your
definitions of '****ed up' are diametricly opposed to the more
rational, less rabid 'social services.'

Sure you are. You think that by boasting about
how 'unusual' you are that this makes you
someone special? It doesn't. Most trolls really
have very tiny egos and try to conceal this by
telling people how wonderful they are. All this
shows is that they need to puff themselves up
in the eyes of those they are trying to bother.
It also shows that their egos are nearly non-
existent and they know it. Such trolls are
desperate for attention. That's you.

Did you choose the nym 'Free Lunch' because
there is no such thing as you?

I chose my words intentionally.

I do agree with you that you are nothing but a troll.

I'm rather new to this community. Someone set these computers up
long before I moved here. I pay my dues so I'm allowed full access
to these facilities including these computers. There are three computers
one is for kid games only. There is 200 more than households able to
use these recreational facilities. This is near Research Triangle Park in
Raleigh-Durham N.C.

Please Bob!- by snipping the way you did, it makes me appear that it is a
statement I made or agree with.
I'm so embarrassed.
You could have at least included the part where I said it was a dumb
question.
But you had to go for the gag, right? ;-)

That's part and parcel of being human, however I don't think that was
what he meant. The utilization of medical services and medication
instead of "thanking God" for the affliction and leaving the end result
to 'his will.' The utilization of said services, and technologies, both
in daily life and to fend off death and 'judgement day' for as long as
inhumanly possible (for others).

Misfiring in the brain can happen at any time for any duration. If the
pain receptors are activated then they're activated at whatever level.
