I've just been listening to RTN, and I noticed something that Warner Bors should take into account.

"He dousn't need his name up in lights, He just wants to be heard"

If we interpret "He" as being Mike (FM), he doesn't care where we get the songs from, he just wants us too listen to it.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Mike might not care... we know he supports downloading from the internet... Warner however might care because they want to make a profit from it :)

Which is exactly why HS's campaign against WB is needed.

However, of course I'll buy the album, I mean, Mike has to make a livin, however greedy WB might be. He needs to put food on his table. This is after all his job.

I agree, and if we like his music we should buy the album. He's put time and effort in to his music, buying the album shows our support.

Although I'd imagine he still gets money via LP, even though they aren't producing anything new at the moment.

Exactly.

And yeah, they probly get something from merch and stuff.

And well, their albums are probably still selling a bit, all of them, although not much.

Yep. They must still be selling their first albums too' date=' presumably some of that money does go to the band.[/quote']I'd expect a large percentage to go to the band, after all it's their creation, the music, not the label's

That's true... I'm not sure of the figures, the percentages of profit that go to band and label. If anybody knows the figures, I'd be really interested.

Usualy the band/artist is lucky to get 15% of course larger bands can demand more.

Thats why many artists (rap particular) try to produce there own albums and launch there own mini record label just to get the figures up.
