You have got to be kidding. You come out of nowhere, lie about my motives to put me down as a human being, degrading my very existence and then you complain that I mentioned your name?

Nobody forced you to flame me Ren, next time try to talk about the subject instead of ignoring the subject and going on a tirade about how horrible a person I am. At least I did not return your flames and only responded to your wrong accusations and attacks on my character. I do not hate all women just because I hold women responsible for their actions every bit as much as I hold men responsible.

If a man gets a woman pregnant and wants to escape taking responsibility for his "choice" to have unprotected ***, there is absolutely no way he can kill the child without being charged with murder. But if a woman has a desire to get out of her responsibility caused by her "choice" to have unprotected ***, she can kill her baby and in that killing is applauded as a great freedom for all women everywhere.

No, I do not think the decision is an easy one, but guess what decision would have been easy? The easy decision would have been to use protection, now how do we get people to use protection, that is the real serious question.

How do we get both men and women to take the risk of pregnancy seriously and avoid the need for abortions almost entirely?

And while we are at it, how do we get our young people to take prevention seriously when even our Government is telling our kids that abortion is no big deal and they will even help them get a free abortion?

When people disagree with your truths you resort to classic degradation practices. I have to come to believe that you are in fact trying to be less inflammatory, but certain topics are a lost cause with you. With regards to abortion you view women as cold and that the choice is as easy as ordering a hamburger.

I am pro-choice because I would never presume to tell a woman or any man what to do with his/her body. I have carried children, and while I am pro-choice, at this stage in my life I don't like the idea of abortion because I've HAD my babies, and they were a joy. However...when I was 15 my views were a lot different. Teenagers are so driven by messed up hormones and rebellion, they make mistakes..and even if this student was pro-life, her fear of being disowned, of the pain of childbirth, the unrealistic idea that she would have no future...etc. etc...likely drove her to that decision, not the people at the clinic. YOU don't understand what it's like...because YOU aren't female. You don't have to deal with all the life altering decisions, you don't have to puke for 4 months as a fetus grows. YOU will never understand. Men can walk away. You might not, but many , many do. Women get left with all the rest. So for you to make your snap judgement calls on sensitive matters such as this are degrading and shameful. I have no doubt you love the women in your life...I never said you didn't. I sincerely hope though that your daughter never makes a mistake that forces her to accept your judgement over making her own decisions. You are so rigid and incapable of being flexible at all. It comes off as being hateful of women. I'm sorry if you dislike that but your admittedly "crass" and "edgy" attitude have portrayed you in that light. If it's an image you'd like to overcome...change the way you present yourself.

And I think this school was out of line. The school clinic can provide the abortion information (it should be balanced with info on adoption and other alternatives as well) to the girl, but in no way, shape or form should they be arranging for her to be receiving a free abortion during school hours on the condition that she doesn't inform her family about it. Also the consent form was misleading.

If the school wants to claim that the clinic was operating as an independent in this situation, then they really need to reconsider their affiliation with this particular clinic.

What bothers me most is the cold nature of this. If I was a nurse and a 15 year old came to me with this, in good conscience I couldn't put a child in a cab to do this alone. I wonder if she was counseled to talk to her parents, because that's what I would do first. Also..if this is standard practice for this clinic to operate this way, then as a school I'd be getting rid of this program in favor of something else. What if the kid had a fukking appendix attack, do they operate the same way, because "confidentiality" really doesn't discriminate?

My thoughts exactly. How is this service free to her? Just wondering...cuz even with our "socialist" healthcare....abortions are not free.
