Religion is implicit of the term "worship"...so the question is what are they worshipping???
If it's themselves, a failed, flawed human-being, then it would be their religion...but worshipping ourselves doesn't get us anywhere since we can not ressurect the dead, or even perform anything miraculous...even self worship promotes evil behavior, for it would promote a "my will be done" attitude. This leads to humanity's ultimate demise...a corruption of who is ***...
Indeed, the world is filled with souls full of hurt, questioning the source and direction of worship...humanity is always short on its efforts of self-deism...

Then the question is, Just what do people such as John Travolta, Tom Cruise get out of it, even the most simple minded will smell a rat if all you are doing is writeing out cheques.????
some of them do it for publicity...
yeah, I would actually say that an overwhelming majority of celebs do spontaneous things and worship spontaneous things for the sake of their name on a Tabloid or an interview with Letterman...
but for other people, besides celebs??? The reason for worship is for self gratification...for them, it's all they believe, thus their worship entails....
for those people that claim they are not worshipping anything, they need to look again...indeed, they are worshipping something; whether it be a deity or not...the sad thing is that people like atheists search for meaning and purpose so much that they succumb to their own wants of not believing in a ***, but then sequentially themselves...in other words, they choose not to believe in ***, but they still need to believe in something, so they then believe in what ever is left: their flawed, failed selves... really sad actually....literally choosing to stick their heads in the sand...
