the evil reality of a true nightmare

well this will no doubt stir up capital punishment views here....look at it from both points of view...

FOR death penalty-the person loses his life ultimately, in a sense its a big sense of justice done and one less ******* in this world...

BUT, is it REALLY punishment? does the taking of one life really ease the loss of years(in this austrian case) or the loss of lives?

the thing about human nature is that it is inherently flawed, somtimes to a massive fault, but we live on, and if we live on theres a good chance for rehabilitation, thats the idea behind jail anyways, thats why people are against capital punishment or the death penalty

as much as we hate people like this, we cant be affording to being back the death penalty, even though i for one am FOR the death penalty, we've got look at it reasonably, what if we make the wrong decision? we waste another life for no reason other than to find our own sense of justice and inner peace when the real culprit could be out there

and capital punishment is just another form of torture, in a way its "justified" torture, and those who do torture them, are they no better than those who raped, kidnapped, tortured their victims? its doing something evil to remedy another evil done, and that will never do the world any good

people may think jail is too good for these people, but is it? rapists are the worst kind, and they dont get treated lightly in jail, not to mention they ahve no sense of "life" anymore, they cant expierience the great things we do in the outer world, it IS a form of punishment, and probably the WORST kind of punishment i feel imaginable, being locked up behind windowless walls, with no chance of seeing the outside world other than perhaps a few hundred metres ahead of your metal fence, i would rather die than come to the realisation that i have no REAL future, that my only future is the prison showers, sharing every waking moment with morons devoid of morality and having no hope of one day living "free"

is a bird truly happy in its cage?

for this austrian case, its horrendous...and no doubt alot of angst and anger will be vented....but we REALLY...REALLY hafto be looking out first and foremost is the victims, its all good to berate the *******, or call for the death penalty, but those will do no form of justice if the victims continue to suffer mentally or physically

I was reading in an article yesterday that he is only facing 15 years in prison for all of this.

If he did this in America, he would be up for the death penalty!!

Oh, ***! I cant believe it. This monster would be only 15 years in prison (73 plus 15... with 88 he would be a free man again...) while there are guys who spend more than 20 years in prison although they're innocent. Have a look at this article:

You see it, man, even in America there is not justice. :(

You know something, mates? This world is crazy, totally mad... I think this is the kind of moments when you go to your window and shout as loud as you can:

Stop moving you, crazy world, I want to get out from you!!!!

hes mostly going to die within the next 10 years anyways, and him being free? i can hardly imagine anyone being sexually "active" at 88....chacnes are he'd get killed in prison anyways

and honestly, everyone being worried about the "world going crazy" because of what one man did all the way in austria is just nuts, LIVE YOUR OWN LIFE, this has NO impact on you, the guy will do his time, he'll be punished heavily in some way, whether in this life or the next...people are so friggen dramatic around here...

and 15 years is according to what he did, yes its morally unnaccepable that he ONLY got 15 years, byt its according to the laws which WE as HUMANS set, we made it acceptable, dont go complaining becasue the law system is a shambles, its run by humans no less, and i doubt any of us here would do any better, just because we feel morally aggrieved

and using the death penalty is abit overbaord isnt it? yes he might deserve to die, but to wish death on someone else? no matter how depraved someone is, to wish death on someone else is just stooping to whatever low act theyve done

and that case in america, how is that injustice? dna cleared him, what that article shows me is that the system set free a man that MAY(im not saying either way) have been cahrged with something he didnt do

and for gods sake usiel, the world IS crazy, the world has been like this for YeARS,DECADES,MILLENiA, theres always BEEN rape, been incest, been murder, been robbery...etc, its NOT GOING TO CHANGE... if you think this world is that ****** up, keep yourself locked away from the outside world, disconnect your tv,your internet, dont have a life, you are only exposing yourself to the nasties of the world, as for the rest of us, we go on with our lives, i myself will continue to look for the GOOD in this world, there is always bad, we just hafto deal with it and try to make the most of whatever life we have, whether good or bad

killing him wouldn't be justice, that way hes not here anymore to live with what hes done. put him in prison for the rest of his life with no contact with anyone. let him live like they lived for the rest of his life!!
QFT.

death penalty wouldnt be justice.

wait a minute... I think you're contradicting to yourself. You said the world has been always mad, there is always been rape, incest... well, so if the human is soooo wise, if the human knows everything, if the human is the most developed living being, why is the human ******* up the same fact? why is the human, so clever, tripped over the same rock? Something isnt good in this "theory"... and the second contradiction. As you, I also say the world is a bit crazy, but it doesnt mean I dont fight for a better world...Stop moving you, crazy world, I want to get out from you is just an expression we usually to say in this kind of facts BUT it doesnt mean I'm always looking far away from wherethe problems come, even more, I think it's you and not me who do that, or at least, you said that:

i myself will continue to look for the GOOD in this world, there is always bad, we just hafto deal with it and try to make the most of whatever life we have, whether good or bad

I dont know man, but I think this is an egoist attitude. If your life is nice, why should I be worried about other's life? You're not looking for the good in this world, you're looking for your personal good in your life... after all, world will be always mad, why should we spend our time fighting for nothing? I prefer being in my home, stretched out on the sofa while I watch the tv, I eat pop-corns and from time to time I look in my pc screen for checking if my unload is already down... you know man? You're alright... THAT'S LIFEEE!!!:yahoo:

15 years isn't enough because with appeals, plea bargaining etc etc he can get off earlier. I don't necessarily think death penalty is the answer, but as I read this article I couldn't help but think this man deserved to die. It's disgusting and there is a side of me that says just kill his ***, but I mean I know that wouldn't be the answer. This is actually in my opinion worse than murder and if I had to bend death penalty would definitely be more acceptable to me. In murder a person "usually" dies after like the shot or the attack or whatever, but these people these kids and his daughter it was like they experienced a prolonged torturous death. Everyday as they were raped or abused a little bit of them died inside. You have to figure that they are pretty emotionally detached from the world now.
