The real progressive mind revealed.

Oh BS. I'm calling a big time BS flag on this.

Is that like calling shotgun so you don't have to ride b!tch with your buddies in the pickup truck? You kill me sometimes on how you spend most of your energy always trying to pick apart anything I say, did you take my post to a therapist this time too?

It is so obvious that you so hooked onto the stories in the new about Newt Gingrich about his description of President Obama when he said, "What if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension, that only if you understand Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior, can you begin to piece together [his actions]?" and didn't have a clue what that meant. You just assumed it was a bash on Obama and liberal/progressives.

Are you so self-deluded that you think Newt was the originator of that point?

Really?

Go back and read what I posted about some recent books I had been reading, I already admitted my views on this was changed by some reading I had been doing, obviously Newt had read some of the same stuff I had, but whoever started discussing it, that does not change if the concept is good or bad now does it.

Stop concentrating on me and try to actually look at the information offered instead and if I am wrong then fine, tell me how the idea is flawed instead of ignoring the points over, and over, and over. It seems to me it was you who did not understand Newt's point so you think nobody else can understand it.

Hell, I just looked it up on Wiki and they show the same modern view of how money might is seen as the same as military might. Force applied with money instead of a gun.

Now you're back peddling terribly.

It's quite obvious what happened here.

Just like your verbage suddenly changed from, liberal to progressive. You heard the catch phrase anti-colonial and jumped on it.

Ha.

Again, I already admitted to reading some books that helped me to understand how their mindset had evolved to see the power of wealth to be the same as military might, have you never learned something new from books before Joe?

And by the way, the only reason I switched to using 'progressive' on this board and not the other boards I post on was purely because of Bender. Bender tried to paint being progressive as not being liberal, he said many times progressives were one or two policies from being a Libertarian and I started trying to pin him down on a few of those things and as usual he dodged everything. There is no meaningful difference in liberals and progressives as they operate in America so I simply switched terms to make a point with Bender.

I also posted where progressive=liberal=socialist a few times as well.

This forum out of all forums should know by now I don't jump on bandwagons like everyone else here does, you even joined at the jungle just to go there and jump me. Hell, you even went out of your way to flame me about my poems, so your just as much a bandwagon follower as Wez or anyone else.

And just to let you know, I don't really see Newt as that great of a conservative, you have any idea how many times that man voted for raising the debt? Just because you see his words as a reason to fawn, don't expect me to.

The truth. The United States was never meant to be involved in colonialism, and wasn't for the most part other than after the Spanish American war when Progressives pushed for it with Teddy Roosevelt pushing to take Cuba, the Phillipines, etc...

It's obvious you didn't know what you were saying and parroted Newt's words.

It's quite comical.

Do you even read what is posted? Do you love Newt so much you see his words even though he actually stole the idea from someone else?

Try again, read more slowly this time.

The modern view of anti-colonialism is to equate financial might to be the exact same thing as military might.

Remember how even Bender talked about the evil insurance companies and such? Big companies making lots of money is in their minds colonialism or imperialism, they hate the "power" these people and companies have while they "stole" their success and money from the little guy.

Lol, well I was not sure of exactly what quote IWS was talking about but I took it on faith Newt did say these things but he had to get them from someone else, and as scary as it is, I looked it up and guess what, I was right again, it is almost scary how good I am, lol.

It turns out Newt was responding to an article by Dinesh D'Souza with Forbes:

http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2010/0927/politics-socialism-capitalism-private-enterprises-obama-business-problem.html

Dinesh D'Souza makes some good points about Obama's specific form of anti-colonialism but unless he had the support of like minded individuals his attempts to attack anti-colonialism here in America would not work now would it? My comments about anti-colonialism has nothing to do with just Obama, he is certainly a big part today but the mindset to view "the rich" as evil and going after them as gaining their wealth by taking advantage of the "poor" has been around for a lot longer than Obama in his political career.

Not sure you understood that article very well and you called wez an, "anti-colonialist".

Like I said...

Not sure you understood that article very well

Good thing my understanding does not require you to be sure, lol. The writer did a pretty good job on delivering a possible source of Obama's brand of anti-colonialist mindset, but as I already said, my point concerning how it is used today in the progressive/liberla agenda is not based on any specific story and most definately is not based on Newt's parroting this guys words.

You went all out trying to claim I get this from Newt, but Newt got it from D'Souza so what is your point? I didn't even know about Newt's comments about D'Souza until today, but yes I did see the Forbes story. But.....D'Souza is also not the first person to draw connections to anti-colonialist beliefs and the modern progressive movement.

and you called wez an, "anti-colonialist".

You ever read his posts? See his constant attacks on those with power of any sort? Wez attacks all use of the military and all "abuse" from big companies, Wez is the very definition of the modern liberal/anti-colonialist, they see the "rich" as evil and their gaining their success/money by stealing it from the little guys.

As I already pointed out, even wiki describes modern anti-colonialist as including monetary power as the same thing as military power, just like Wez and the rest of the progressives do, Newt and D'Souza are not breaking any new ground with these comments.

Hey TJ.. Did God speak directly to ex-president GW Bush and command him to wage war?
God speaks to all of us Wez, and yes we can even get specific leadership from him. It is debatable what sort of voice may be heard because each of us feel the movement of God in our lives in different ways, similar to how a good meal may be described in different ways by two people who shared the same meal.

One of the ways God will speak to us is though our own minds, when we "talk to ourselves" about a problem, or we spend extra time trying to sort out implications and problems in our lives, that is God trying to nudge us in the right direction. One thing even the most hard core criminal has is a desire to tell the truth, we feel compelled to speak true and admit our lies because God has given us that desire for truth.

Another way God can speak to us is our surroundings, as we look around we can see his work, witness how he provides for us all and challenges us.

But in a case like this God also sets in our soul the concept of justice, or right/wrong. When we see a video showing some punk smacking an old lady and stealing her purse, almost all of us feel that outrage, we feel the need to protect and shelter the weak and punish the evil. Well as we all know Suddam was evil, he was even starving his own people on purpose just to try and make America look bad. There was never going to be a peaceful ending to that story.

So to answer your question, I do believe Bush felt compelled to act on the evil that was Suddam from his faith and connection to God. Bush would have had access to information about Suddam and his family everyone else did not, such as this we all found out about later: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/02/17/60II/main600705.shtml

When those of us who have faith see this kind of thing we do feel pushed to act, it is more than just instinct. Make fun of that if you like, but it is how we feel.

Yeah.. you're a truthful man of God allright...

So Gods pro war and goes so far as to command and complel his "chosen" to kill people?

I thought you had a problem with the muslims God telling them to kill people? Seems ok for you though, eh?

Guess you really are on the same level as an Islamic extremist.. or you're the worlds greatest hypocrite..

What does God have to say about hypocrites TJ? What's in store for them? 17 virgins?

Maybe you don't understand islam. It's not Allah that commands them to kill... it is muhammad and the qu'ran.

Nope.. not an expert, unlike you apparently..

I see.. so the difference is TJ, GW, and you get the word to kill and wage war directly from God and the bible whilst they get it from someone named Mohammed and their version of the bible?

What's your position in TJ's holy army? Keeper of the stool?

It is fun to toy with Wez but it is all part of his mindset to attack any kind of strength he personally does not possess.

Wez has no money, so people with money are bad/evil.

Wez has no physical strength, so people with physical strength are bad/evil.

Wez has no moral core values, so people with strong morals are bad/evil.

Wez has no faith, not even in himself, so anyone with faith is bad/evil.

Wez is many things, but mostly Wez is just a very bitter person and the only way he can bring himself up is to try and bring other people down. Wez has some very bad things he has done in his past, he could find forgiveness if he can just accept what he has done as bad, or he can instead choose to see himself as blameless for what he has done that is evil and spend his life ranting and raving against the most powerful element that says what he has done is wrong.

God.

Yeah.. you got it TJ.. that's what I am.. Forgive me your assholiness.. I'll never reach the pinnacle of shimmering light that is you..

Now.. ya wanna explain how your God telling you to kill people is different from someone else's God telling them to kill people?

And here is a great example of how Wez's mind works.

RaE has said more vile things about me than even Wez has, but in Wez's world, if you do not agree with him, you deserve to be attacked and put down in a very personal way. RaE was just trying to offer Wez an explanation of how Islam is different and his reward for that is to be attacked.

Time and time again we have seen Wez rip into anyone who does not share his intense hatred of government, America, religion, and big companies.

As much as I have been mistreated by RaE, he did not deserve the attack Wez just put on him, and that is true for most of the attacks Wez makes.

Wez, God does not tell me or anyone else to kill people, God fills our hearts with the desire to fight against evil, that fight does sometimes include the death of the evil, even a few innocents those evil people put in harms way on purpose, but you don't see American troops "intentionally" attacking children and schools while the terrorists don't want to attack a military target, they prefer to kill innocents because it offers more shock value.

As RaE was trying to tell you, Allah does not tell the followers of Islam to kill infidels, those are the words of a single man who is seen as their most powerful leader in all areas of life.

Good God you're sick.. Tell it to Jesus.. I've heard enough..
And yet I am not the guy attacking people like RaE just for trying to help you understand something you have wrong Wez.

RaE did not flame you, he did not even say something bad, all he did was offer you some information and you unloaded on him, this is what you always do to everyone who dares to not conform with your hate of all things Government, America, Religion, or big business.

Why did RaE deserve the flame Wez? Just for telling you the truth? What RaE said was 100% truth, no judging, no recriminations, no insults, just pure truth and still you see that as enough justification to take a nasty personal shot at him. This is the real Wez, you do this over, and over again.

boodily hoo.. poor R&E.. I really unloaded on him.. I should be ashamed.. help me see the light TJ..
I don't have to show you the light, you already know what you did was wrong, but you don't care about being abusive because it makes you feel good, feel powerful in a way you can never feel powerful in the real world.

I don't have to show you the light, you already know what you did was wrong, but you don't care about being abusive because it makes you feel good, feel powerful in a way you can never feel powerful in the real world.

TJ.. do you really not see you're talking about yourself? Seriously..

Did I attack RaE just for trying to tell the truth or was that you Wez?

RaE did nothign wrong, but he did give you correct information because you had said something that was wrong, your reaction to that was to lash out in a personal way.

But your always out to pick fights, time after time all you do is chase peopel around you believe will fight with you because your only desire is to attack people to help you feel better about yourself. You can't act this way in the real world because someone will feed you your teeth, so you come to places like this so you can show your azz in the safety of your chair.

.

Is that you Wez?
