There are similarities between the two sterotypes, however a redneck can be found in any part of the country. Be it way the **** out in California to the tip of Florida and back up to Maine. A hillbilly lives in the hills, by ***.
I'm actually neither. I do come from the Hills of Northeast Georgia and I despise NASCAR, Budweiser, and Skoal... so I ain't a redneck. What I am; is a ****** off white guy.

The National Endowment for the Arts
None of them care about creativity
None of them have any steel real hearts

I am not bothered by it. My problem...
Yesterday, I saw a dude, dressed like a cowboy, hat and pants and boots. We get on the bus and he is in front of me. He has pins of the Rebel Flag on his hat. Yeah, whatever. BUT right next to them, he has COORS pins! That seems to be like dishonoring the flag somehow. If he had the Stars and Stripes, then I would have been ******.

I'm ******' proud of both things. And if you're proud of somethin' don't let some PC pushin' ***** tell ya that you can't display your pride cause it might upset someone.

Like I said I'm a biker, and I wear a Rebel Flag and a Union Jack on my originals. I wear the Rebel Flag coz I consider myself to be outside the realms of what is considered to be 'normal' society, and the guys who flew that flag during the civil war were willing to give up their lives for what they believed in. I wear a Union Jack coz I'm British and proud of it, and, yes, I wear what many would consider **** regalia coz to me its symbolic of a master race, which, like it or not, is what I consider bikers to be.
The key word here is symbolism.
Just cos your flag has been subverted by some hate group doesn't mean you have to be any less proud of what it means to you.
Dixie: Appropriated by the Klan.
Union Jack: Appropriated by two political fascist groups in the UK, the National Front and the British Nationalist Party, not to mention every lowlife racist **** of a skinhead that soils my country with his right wing rhetoric and ill-informed propaganda.
Swastika and Iron Cross: Say no more.
Instead of ******** about what we wear, and what words we use to describe minorities, things they can't ******' legislate against anyway, why don't these idiots put their time to better use sewing up the loopholes in the law that allows real bigotry to infiltrate society...let's work on getting equal pay for women, equal employment opportunities for everyone, or maybe not allowing cops with ****** attitudes to detain minority groups simply for drivin' a nice car. Or what about some increased finanacial aid for people on low incomes who want to go to college, or getting some kind of free and effective healthcare system in your country for disabled people on low incomes.

You know what I find offensive, the fact that we've got enough money in both our countries to give every one a nice standard of living, yet people are living in cars and under bridges with dogs on a bit of ******' string, and these PC ***** think they're contributing to a better society with their bullshit 'Ooooh that's not nice! You can't say/do things like that.' attitudes.
Wake up people, if you want to make a better world lobby your government, not my ****.
