The US heat wave????

Its not been any hotter then usual here in Florida. And unlike alot of places we are getting the normal amount of rain as well. That is of course except El Paso...they are getting flooded.

It has been absolutely wonderful here in minneapolis the last week...

and the thunderstoms have been quite soothing (yea im a thunderstorm nut...so those that hate them im sure have hated it)

We had an 8 day heat wave. Hit 100 once, heat index was about 110 for 3 days. Now, we got hit with a beautiful Canadian cold front. 70s for the next 3 days, and nothing over 85 for the next 8. It's grand.

Yesterday was the first day in three weeks when the mercury didn't reach the 95-98 degree range. It was unusually brisk for an early August day and the temperature must've been as low as 75 degrees.

Much of this summer has been sweltering. I'm a Marine, so I adapt (ie sticking beer in the freezer for a spell).
