To add to my previous comment, I also love the sound of Chester's voice. Now, I'm a guy and completely straight, but still. He has a phenomenal voice. I agree with aloneme, when chester screams/sings and mike raps, it freakin' rocks.

Thier unique sound really got me interested. When I heard the keyboard intro for Crawling the first time, I thought it was really cool. Then when I heard Mike's little rap thing before Chester's chorus I knew I liked them.

I am fascinated by Chesters voice he shouts like no other but he's also a great singer with deep lyrics. Just the best, but I think Y' all know that.

I was quite young when I first heard any LP music. I liked it for the rock side (although teh first song of thiers I ever heard was Session) And I didn't even relize that it was Rock AND rap.

This was my original LP collection, which my brother downloaded because he liked the music, and now that I listen to it so much, he hates anything to do with LP...

-Papercut

-In The End

-From The Inside

-Somewhere I Belong

-Faint

-Numb

Then I got CC, then Meteora, Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, Hybrid Theory EP, and all the other stuff...

Now I am waiting patiently untill the next album :)

Definetly the way Linkin Park mixxed the art of rhyme performed by Shinoda and the unique, creative, and original turntablism of Joe Hahn into their rock rhythms backed up by Bennington's vocals really is what turned me on.

A lot of times, they seem overplayed but nevertheless, you can't deny that they remain a rare breed of music.

Absoultely distinctive sound, you can't say their is anyone who sounds like them. They blend rock and hip-hop perfectly, which probably helped their rise to the top

How they took good elements from the genres of rap, techno, and rock and turned them into a new type of rock 'n roll, and adding meaningful lyrics to boot.

I would have to say, in the light of this, that the thing that drew me in was thier fearless creativity and experimentation.

The rock side of it. It was something very different from the any other band at the time they first came out. I actually didn't even realise it was at all hip-hop for a long time. But um.....yeah the rock part definately their guitar riffs & lyrics.

Definetly the rock. Never really liked any hip-hop till they blended it in. I really liked it, when i first heard them i fell in love with the vocals which were main rock element in LP.
