I dont really like any solos on any of the songs except I like it when Hahn has a big part on songs, especially with you.

Brad basical plays a rythemical instruments (Rythem Guitar) the most likely people to solo would be Rob or Hahn (most likely Hahn) I would love to here Pheonix solo though I like small bass solos :p

With the interesting announcement that LP are changing their style to a mix of rock, punk, hip hop etc, do you think brad will pull out a power solo in one song?

'old rock' to me suggests songs that have solos in them them, or do u think that'd be changing LP's style TOO much?

i wonder...
I must say this is wonderful news I'm glad that Linkin Park has matured beyond the nu-metal genre (which I do like mind you) but after a while it does become a bit boring. I'm glad to see they're trying different things now. I'm definitely looking forward to their new album now. As for solos it would nice to see some solos included in their songs as well ballads and some acoustic songs. I mean they do write a lot of emotional songs ballads would perfect for them.

with you wasnt ever really a hahn part, it was written and performed by someone else for HT wasnt it? hahn just plays the live solo, which mind u is still kickass :D

so i think album wise...i doubt we ll see anything drastic, maybe a small solo here and there....but maybe live theyll integrate something small into the set for the fans

yeah I doubt LP will do any solos anyways :p so whats up with this thread
Well guitar solos are rarely if ever integrated into songs in the nu-metal style so that's probably why we never saw any serious guitar solos in any of their songs. I don't know they may start to integrate some guitar solos into their songs now, which I think would be a good thing.

Um . . . . hate to break it to you, but Linkin Park always has been that.

Brad can't solo, so unless they stick in another guitarist who can, don't look for solos. But, I do think having Brad as the rythm guitarist, then adding an even better guy as the lead guitarist would sound pretty good, but it won't happen. :(

The closest thing to a solo we will get is something like on "Reading MY Eyes" bridge where he uses a volume swell pedal to make his guitar louder and then he will play 3 notes over and over again

i think solowise..the intro of runaway was a cool rhythm and brad shouldn't do anymore solos than that type..their music rhytm focuses on their lyrics and they wouldnt want to lose that focus
