Question on Reflectionist

Reflectionist was banned recently without notification on why. He would like to know for what and know why he didn't get notification. So could a mod please explain.

Might be diggin my grave here.... but honestly, no one can seem to answer this question. Vash can't answer... none of the elites can, and no official announcement has been made.

 

The ban was definatly misplaced IMO. A suspension maybe, but outright banning him without telling why.... -_-

It was obviously for a justifiable reason though.. they all have to come to an agreement, and they aren't all going to agree if it's not for good reason.

I specifically remember making a thread asking why Treeves was banned, and it was locked and we never got an answer. I don't remember if that was the first time or the second, although I'm pretty sure it was the first. Either way, every other member has never been given a reason. Except for lpp, lol. ATL did in her journal.

 

I don't remember all that well though, I just know that reasons are not often given. Although it doesn't really matter, like I said, it's obviously for a good reason, or all of the mods would not agree on it.

Hmmm... Maybe it was just one thing. Perhaps it was just his overall attitude while posting. He was a cool guy sometimes but he was really rude most of the time. Maybe the mods just got tired of it. IDK

Who knows....but i think if a member is banned

a) the public should be told who is banned

b) the person who was banned, deserves a resonable reason as to why they were banned. The public doesnt have to know, unless the banned person tells.

EDIT: IDK. Maybe the mods just like to keep stuff like this to themselfs. It's not like it's going to kill us if we don't know. Yes, I think the person who was banned should be told why, but as for the other members, I don't think so. If the person who was banned wanted to tell people he/she could tell the public through aim or msn.

Hey, uh, I'm sure you know who this is, and I don't want to get caught up in pleasentries,. So let me begin by apologizing to you, for all the bullshit I put you and the mod squad through. That was really stupid of me, and I'm supposed to be the respectable one. This is the only place I've had a problem with, LPF, but, really, I'm super super bored without being able to come here and post.

 

This is what happened: Don, and I, decided to have our little race to see who could get banned first, which was all fun and games, because, hell, at least I'd have someone that'd be banned with me. So, don said he got banned, but he really didn't... I didn't want to be outdone, so I went ahead and actually got banned. I didn't know he wasn't banned until just today. So i was pretty much sold out. Which sucks.

Now, I know you guys don't have any reason to trust me. I've "not done anything good except when I was gone" or, whatever ShinodaBear said, I don't really care. uh, I guess, what I'm asking is if i can have my old name back, maybe?

 

Obviously, you're going to say no, because I'm an asshole, and you guys are kings of the world, etc. etc. but really... This is all just one big misunderstanding. I told Vash on AIM just now, that, in all honesty, I couldn't possibly do half as good of a job at modding these forums as you guys do. And you do deserve much more respect.

 

Again, I'm deeply sorry, and I hope that you might let me back into these forums. Thank you, and Good Day / Good Night... wherever you are when this PM finds you.

To sum it all up:

 

Basically, Ref was being an asshole a while back (bout a year ago) and (Go visit the link above) so he got banned. Then he sent us (the mods) a request to get unbanned. We all agreed that he did deserve a second chance, but that he would be on thin ice. He seemed to do well for a while, but now he got back to his normal flaming and complaining. Soooo, he got banned again. End of story.

Yeah, he had no room to make any mistakes, and after what happened lately, the time had come for him to go.

 

As for him thinking it was unfair that he was the only one banned.

 

a. He was banned previously and they werent.

b. His warning came when he got unbanned last time.

c. He should worry about his own actions and not those of others. Thats our job.

d. Life isnt fair.
