How Do I Become...

Since I know alot of other members probably wonder this too...How Do I become and elite, and mod and stuff? Since I would love to help around these forums, and I know other would too. I know it will take time for anyone intrested (Other than Jeezy) to get there. I just think other people wonder too. I am sorry if this has been posted before, it's 1:00am, and I am too tired to look around the forums right now.

first things first, i think that only admins can make people elite and as you can see we dont hace active admins... so boo hoo for that

second of all elite are people that know the admins if you ask me but i may be wrong....

third of all you need alot of posts,rep and years in LPF

but to me it just looks like a case of admins not being active and doing anything with NO disrespect ofcaurse.

we have some awesome awesome mods like hailey and mark and some nice elite too

BUT as you can see if you go to threads that were started like 2004 there are ALOT of elite who are TOTALY gone and some who come around once every 2 months and still remain elite... thats wrong to me, elite should be the nice,hard working ACTIVE members who love LPF and make it (to me) the ONLY fun lp forums to be on. all the other places are filled with dickheads (LPU, LPMB ect...)

so ya thats my thought

again no disrespect thats just the way i feel

and someday MABY i can become elite

but for now let it be

and dont make a "Make these people elite" thread cause it doesent work, me and peet tried it and boo hoo again

its up to the admins i guess....

I agree with that, It's be awhile since they have chosen people, I love LPF with all my heart, why do you think I'm here 99% of the time lol posting and meeting new people! I just want to say... ***Everyone at LPF RULEZ!!!!!*** :-P :-P But yeh anyway... You have to be careful when choosing mods, because an mod has the power to delete threads, posts, merge topics etc... and if they chose the wrong people it just gets all messed up lol, and we will ALL like! be umm..ok :S lol!

 

But If LPF ever needed another mod I will be happy to help, I already have been a great mod on a lot of forums around the net, and since I'm really good with knowing what to do I think I would be a great mod. :thumbsup: But my advice is... Don't ask... and just hope / show that you will be a good mod / elite member and you never know, they may choose you. hehe :-P

You just gotta be nice and helpful and you should do high quality posts and not just spam around.

there loads of people who post frequently and dont spam around, have a multitude of post and positive rep, been here for about 2 years and a half and dont become elites!

we do have active admins. they're just not so active that they're in your face.

trust me, the elites aren't elites cause they know the admins. I think the admins right now I have promoted about 0 elites, and back when that was still being done (pretty safe to say that's over) it wasn't just ATLien choosing his friends etc. The only time elites were promoted when I was mod, they were chosen based on activity on the forum, contribution, stuff like that. Basically whether they made the forum better.

 

I agree though, check the elite list on the Site leaders or whatever the page is called, there are very few active elites. But that's because the elite system's in limbo

trust me, the elites aren't elites cause they know the admins. I think the admins right now I have promoted about 0 elites, and back when that was still being done (pretty safe to say that's over) it wasn't just ATLien choosing his friends etc. The only time elites were promoted when I was mod, they were chosen based on activity on the forum, contribution, stuff like that. We might get a new batch sometime,but I think it makes it at least easier for new members to know who they can ask questions about the forum

Aka. A select few who have good quality posts, people who don't flame or start fights(we try to stop them). We think about the topics at hand and post what we think with reasons and examples. We just don't go around spamming serious threads with bullshit.

 

Elites are voted on by other elites, mods, and admins. Honestly, when i became an elite, i knew nothing about it til i saw the thread announcing it. It's not like it being Green is so spaztastic that you need to spaz about not being an elite. We are just members who care about what they say and where they say it and who is doing what where. The other perks of being an elite are kinda not as active as you might think, the Whole extra room isn't exactly active all the time, and it's not like we have any special threads in there.

 

So don't go asking to be an elite member of our beloved forums. We watch your posts and then decide who should be a new elite, then vote. Nothing you can say can do anything to make it a faster process or something of that, but if you spam in serious threads or flame over stupid things and make a LPF War like what happened last year, then you'd better believe that there wouldn't be any possible elites that were helping fuel the flames.

I don't think post count or join date is the issue. And sometimes people rep each other for no good apparent reason (lol). It's how helpful you have been since you've joined LPF, and how much respect your posts will be given to by others. If you have the integrity and helpfulness, you will eventually be an elite. There are a lot of elites who don't even visit the site anymore, not that I think they should be stripped of their greeness, but I think new selections should be made. I see a lot of people these days who have great potential as Elites.
