I never said that we couldn't debate religion. Personally, I don't see the point. There is too much of that old adage "He said, she said" in discussions about religion. For the sake of discussing religion, I don't think its that thorough to generalize all religion. Some religions, faiths worship out of fear, out of guilt, out of joy, or for good crop. Even though I'm a faithless bastard, I don't think religion is inherently evil. I think that the Men who created it are. Call me crazy (You're crazy!), but I like clear and more tangible type discussions or debates. Particularly on policies that affect us all. You know that old chestnut. By the way, I'm of Scotch-Irish descent... I'm always drinking.

You can't take fairy tales and ghost stories seriously. Why take religion? Economics, political, and social policies are a better debate because there is usually two staunch sides of the fence. I moved this thread to the Speak Your Mind forum for two reasons: Number One: The price of oil is ridiculous, but it doesn't piss me off. Number Two: I figured it would serve us better to discuss the problems (even though similar posts exist) rather than blasting them. Now... we can discuss big oil companies and how they piss us off. The price of gasoline does not piss me off because I am first and foremost a Capitalist. Demand goes up, supply is short... raise the prices... by all means. The demand is low and the supply still short maintain the national average. It's that simple. Do I distrust the big oil companies? No, not really. There is little margin to be made off of low supply and increased prices. Price gouging? Perhaps, but it would have to be proven and the statutes of gouging are so vague its not worth debating.

Alan Rickman does play an awesome villian. Perhaps my favorite villian was played by Christopher Lee as Saruman in the LotR movies, whose part is greatly diminished compared to the novel.
