Help me please

The easiest way that I have found (and use) is to buy a flash drive big enough for the documents and such on the computer. Copy to the flash drive the "My documents" folder (make sure you get the folder and all it's contents, not just a shortcut,) the drivers folder, and whatever other documents you want to save. If this is new to Paige, then I wouldn't worry about any of the documents, and just copy over the drivers folder (again, making sure you are getting the contents of the folder, not just making a shortcut to your drivers folder on the flash drive.) Reinstall Windows XP, add an anti-virus, update everything that the Windows Update website tells you do to, and then worry about the drivers- which you should just be able to copy the folder back off of your flash drive onto the computer in the C: drive. Make note: When I did this last week, after reinstalling XP, I had to go back into the CD and "Add features" and install the networking stuff (and games, and other things) to get the computer online. It would not go online til I did that. It's not to hard, but it is pretty time consuming. Especially the Windows Update part. and you can go to Dell.com and create an account and put in the service tag number and it will have all kinds of driver updates you can use.

What kind of computer is it? Dell has a majority of their stuff on the Dell website, and can even tell you what you need based on your computer's ID number (plus, much of it has been updated since the computer was new.) I dunno about others... XP itself will see a lot of the hardware attached to the computer.

I don't know of a way around the password in XP. Someone else here may, but I don't. I used to know one for 98, but if I remember right, they fixed it for XP Honestly, I would do a fresh install anyway- as there is likely a lot of stuff that is unneeded on the computer (especially if there are two accounts you cannot access,) and cleaning it up will just help everything to run better. adn then you won't run into this issue ever again. That is assuming that the other two users won't want their stuff back...

no, it was some sort of vicious phishing bot. It would only appear on banking sites, and I thought I had it cleared out at least 5 times but it kept coming back. it beat absolutely everything I tried. I had to do a fresh install (which she probably needed anyway) all better now. )

Have you tried logging on in safe mode (Holding down the f8 key while the computer is booting)? Safe mode should pop up with a screen with an admin account. click on it. If the original installer didn't actually set up and "Administrator" account and password, this should allow you to create one, or change the password on the default one. this worked for me last week when I was trying to get into a friends computer to clean out a mean virus she got. Good luck.
8. Regina has ropes!!!!! That's AWESOME!!!! I wish my city had some ropes... if Regina has diet decaf Mt Dew, I may just take you up on that.
9. I can understand where TJ is coming from here- and I can appreciate what he is saying. To me, dating is someone that I already know on some level, and am trying to see if there is something more worth pursuing- almost more like courting of the old days. My views on dating are pretty conservative, though. I don't "date" just to go have a good time. I can go have a good time to have a good time and hang with people, and there is no pressure there. If we want to see if there is more, then "dating" comes into play. unfortunately, I have a very hard time moving past the "friends" phase of a relationship and into a "dating" phase. Well, I don't have a hard time with it, but the women folk in my life sure seem to....
10. yeah, I didn't mean anything personal by my earlier comment. and out here in AZ, it wouldn't have the same connotation as it would on the coast. I still feel that it should be at least a previously agreed on excursion, not a surprise event. I just think that would be creepy. Personally, I have done the movie thing, and prefer somewhere or something that we can talk over. Dinner is nice, walking is nice, anything where the communication lines are opened up and we can both share about life and junk. and someone needs their man card revoked for telling emkay the truth about movie dates...
11. I dunno about the taking a girl out on a boat for a first date. Seems awful confining to me. I don't want the lady to feel she HAS to stay with me if things aren't going how she would like.
12. +50 for the Naked Gun reference!
13. oh yeah you do!
14. Thanks for letting me know my females are getting out of hand. They will be dealt with.
15. I wish Ali would touch me in a special way.... and indeed- Thanks Ali- that thing is amazing!!
16. nope. beans.
17. is this really all that surprising? we all saw how quickly she cut Leonardo DiCaprio go in Titanic. She's a gold digging whore....
18. My most heartfelt apologies to BroMan and Chi (and whomever else I missed.) I was a bit hammered at the awards ceremony, and I saw Kayne starting to move towards the stage so I had to rush thru the end of my speech. BroMan- it is great to have you back. The place is definitely better when you are not MIA. and Chi- don't you still owe me a topless pic??? No kudo's for you til I get it. I showed you my ass, so it's only fair... and Wez- it is extremely hard to get banned from Taco Bell. I have tried in no less than 5 Taco bell's in 4 cities, and it hasn't happened yet. (you can have some serious fun when you are doped up on imitation Mexican food!) So that is probably our best bet.
19. really?? This is awesome! It was so unexpected! whips out acceptance speech I' like to thank all those that helped me get here, tear First and foremost, I want to thank God, for without his assistance, I wouldn't be here to make an ass out of myself everyday. I'd like to thanks the members of the academy, or convention, or whatever the hell we call this thing... Wez & TJ- so many replies here are in argument with one of you. Thanks you for being antagonists to most of the board. I LOVE YOU GUYS! RO- so many replies here are folks trying to be smarter than you, usually with epic fail. Without you, the board would have like 15 replies ever. Ali- You complete me! I would be nowhere without you behind me, kicking me in the butt every chance you get! I know it isn't a new car, but can I come in tonight? Emkay- come out of the chatbox more often. Really, we could have reached this months ago if you would only help out. geeze... Atlantic- quit watching Nancy Grace. Seriously. Snafu & Phantom- you guys know there is a board here right? not just an arcade? get busy. Old Salt- your jokes ROCK! I so appreciate your contributions to the my award! Plus I LOL all the time! Merc- you're awesome. Not much more I can say! Hugo- lay off the sheep dude. really. Go watch some Nancy Grace or something instead. Ren- you're new, but thanks anyway. and no I won't make out with you, so please stop asking. the rest of you suck. 'cept for Cloaked and IWS, and that's only cause I don't wanna get banned... tear Wez, lets go PARTAY!!!
