I soooooooooooo totally agree with that. It was local and state officials job to get things rolling. Evacuation plans were in place. Schools buses were lined up to help out, and they ended up getting flooded because nobody did anything to get them moving. Ray Nagin is a moron, but at least he got moving ahead of time this go 'round.

Her speech was pretty good. She, like her hubby, is a very good public speaker. But I wasn't overly impressed with the content. Lots of rhetoric, lots of euphemisms, not much real substance. But maybe that is what she was supposed to do. I did, however, get a very hearty LOL when they turned to that one lady who was balling her eyes out right after Mrs Obama talked about kissing her girls goodnight.

I'm not sure that isn't a good thing. College degrees are a dime a dozen now a days, and thus don't mean as much as they used to, to the business world. It used to mean something to work your way though college.
