Other men do not give me my freedom.. they can only try to take it away. I may not be willing to kill for it, but would certainly die for it. Free will. They are not the same and do not produce the same results, but rather the opposite. Respect produces peace, love and understanding. Fear produces hate and sudden, violent explosions as well as drawn out occupations of death with an illusionary, false sense of security and paranoia for varying periods in between. She lived in Iran most her life.. and here for a good amount of time. I suspect you've never lived in Iran? "Freedom" is relative. There is no seperation of any truth.. good or bad, it is what it is and I will do my best always to see it for what it is and decide for myself what it is I see. What is true is always true no matter how many people say otherwise, no matter how many times they say it, or no matter how many people they kill to "prove" it. Fear = respect to the extent you allow it to. To me, they are polar opposites. Fear leads to hate.. Respect leads to love.

The principle behind it was good, the method not so good, but understandable. The bill of rights in principle is a good thing, and in practice is quite lacking. The Constitution is good in principle, and in practice is a bad joke. We have now become what we fought against in the Revolution, and then some. A nightmare of hypocrisy. Such is life.

Their only role is to diminish my freedom of thought through fear, I choose to not allow it, or respect it. My country doesn't provide it, it hinders it. I aint afraid to die. I can be thankful they hinder it less than others, maybe. I wouldn't know. I had a chemistry professor last year that told me she had more freedom in Iran, her homeland, than she had here. I had no reason not to believe she felt that way. I guess I can be thankful and respect the fact that I have never been popular and influential enough in my country to warrent being murdered or jailed by my countrymen for suggesting another perspective like Martin Luther King, the poor bastard that said the Earth was round, Jesus and Galileo. Whoever thinks fear = respect and might = right is a dumbass.

My freedom comes from my creator.. free will.. Not men killing men or living in fear only to say what I think other people think I should think.
