Hugo said earlier that the officer provoked Gates to act this way, I am now trying to pin Hugo down as to what part of the officer's requesting identification was wrong in Hugo's eyes. So another dodge? Why not just answer the question Hugo? Gates exploded on the cop for asking to produce identification that showed his address. Everything negative from this situation was because Gates felt he had a right to explode so his reason is relivant to this conversation Hugo. So, was the cop within his rights to ask for identification that showed the address when he is responding to a call of this nature Hugo? Simple question, no politics needed to answer it.

That is not what the saying means eddo and you darn well know it. The meaning of it is to say if girls give away sex without commitment, then why would the man want to get married to you? There was never any implication to call all women cows. But Ali took the term literally long enough to take a shot at Tami, something she just claimed to never have done, and this is my point, she always acts this way when pissed off, to attack people, even their loved ones. Well it is the usual liberal/socialist double standard. I said over and over again I didn't like many of the things Bush and company did. most true Conservatives are capable of finding fault on both sides.......but a liberal/socialist cannot. Hugo, are you trying to say a professor is not capable of breaking the law and cops should just cease all normal procedures the second they see "professor" on a school identification card? Wow, just wow, I will first take the time to say thanks to snaf for being the lone voice of constructive criticism, I will give your words considerable thought. I agree, we should be doing both, all laws should be enforced. I have supported massive fines for everyone who hires illegals, including all the rich people who hire them for domestic service. I believe $1 million dollar fines for each violation is fair.

A friend of mine sent me some stories about how a guy named Lou Dobbs on CNN has brought up the Obama birth cirtificate thing again. Dobbs says that he does believe Obama is an American but that he owes America the respect to it's process to produce the birth cirtificate and put the matter to rest. I have to say I agree with Dobbs on this, something is wrong when the President believes he is above the system.

You dodged IWS's point about taking this to the other side of the discussion, if the cop had settled for a university ID that did not show an address and walked away leaving two men in the home who later cleaned the home out, do you think Gates would have said the officers had done their jobs to protect his possessions?
