Those new YFZ's with the pogo sticks are not that bad to be honest. It wouldn't matter to me since I would slap a aftermarket suspension on it anyways.

Had the chance to work on and attempt to fix one of these bikes yesterday and today. After I got a few electrical issues resolved, I took it out for a spin. I always loved those YFZ's, so I was somewhat excited to try this out with EFI. This bike is by far the slowest thing I have ever ridden...

Your best bang for your buck is to just do the one of the cams. I can't remember off hand since its been about 4 years since I owned me. But I think its the intake cam. If you can't afford to do the DRZE upgrade, then at least put a manual cam chain tensioner on it. Those bikes love to eat cam...

You need to set your ride height and rake before doing any fine tuning. Once the ride height and rake is set, then you can fine tune the stuff,but...... if its already setup for ride height and your able to practically press your front end on the ground, then I suspect he installed or whoever...

You can dump a dirtbike every 3-5 minutes or so. That might be a downer or a positive depending on how you look at it. lol

Nope, they are a POS bike just like everything else out there, just better equipped. KTM really disappoints in the hardware dept. Their nuts and bolts rust within a year or so. A stainless upgrade is a must if that type of stuff bothers you. I don't see 2-smokes going anywhere or away anytime...
