Gore, U.N. Body Win Nobel Peace Prize

OSLO, Norway (AP) --

Former Vice President Al Gore and the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel
on Climate Change won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Friday for their
efforts to spread awareness of man-made climate change and lay the
foundations for counteracting it.

"I am deeply honored to receive the Nobel Peace Prize," Gore said.

"We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a
political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of
humanity."

Can't stand it, can you? The Nobel prize, the most respected prize in
the world goes to our ex-vice president, the same person the
conservatives tried to destroy and failed and you can't even act
happy.

See, you conservatives hate America and all it stands for. You hate
every thing about a democracy. I can remember being happy when
Kissinger won, see, he was an American. You, well, your hatred is
showing.

I'm thrilled for Mr. Gore.

This is a very strong indication that the Nobel committee is more interested in
politics than in fact. Gore is a worthless piece of dung, and the UN is about
the same.

What "fact" do you think they overlooked?

Modern Conservative: Someone who can take time
out from bashing the UN and claiming we are not
bound by it to state that we were compelled by UN
resolutions to launch an unprovoked war against Iraq.

Hartung's hatred knows no bounds and is so all-consuming

"America hating scum".

As I recall, only two presidents have ever won the prize, and of
course, Canada's Lester Pearson won one for his work in defusing the
Suez crisis in 1956.

Guys like Dave don't understand that the world has moved on, and
doesn't care what lonely little fringe extremists like him thing any

ANYONE can be nominated. Hell, George W. has been nominated.

WINNING it? Well, that's a bit different. Only two American
presidents have won it, and among normal people, it's usually regarded
as a great honor.

With the exception of the year they lost their minds and gave it to
Henry the K, of course.
