I suspect Al Gore could walk down main street is any american city or town
and his only risk would be getting RSI from the number of people wanting to
shake his hand... as for your little Furhrer? I suspect he would be
dangling from the nearest lampost/tree in a blink...

Since you are so thrilled about this accomplishment, tell me, please,
what exactly has Gore done that is even remotely associated with
making peace? Also, please explain the relationship between "climate
change" and "peace".

Theodore Roosevelt, 1906; Woodrow Wilson, 1919; Jimmy Carter,
2002. And special mention should be made of the abominable
choice of Henry Kissenger, 1973 - the year of his support for
the overthrow and killing of Allende in Chile.

Why do conservatives have such small minds?

After the Congress gave Bush the use of force resolution, he went to the
UN and insisted the inspector be returned to Iraq. The inspectors
returned and they found nothing. So what did Bush do? He went to war.

Your defense of the indefensible is reprehensible and your attacks on
Gore are equally disgusting.

Do conservatives go to school to be this dumb? or is it natural?

Another Ice Age?

In Africa, drought continues for the sixth consecutive year, adding terribly
to the toll of famine victims.

During 1972 record rains in parts of the U.S., Pakistan and Japan caused
some of the worst flooding in

centuries. In Canada's wheat belt, a particularly chilly and rainy spring
has delayed planting and may

well bring a disappointingly small harvest. Rainy Britain, on the other
hand, has suffered from

uncharacteristic dry spells the past few springs. A series of unusually cold
winters has gripped the

American Far West, while New England and northern Europe have recently
experienced the mildest

winters within anyone's recollection.

As they review the bizarre and unpredictable weather pattern of the past
several years, a growing

number of scientists are beginning to suspect that many seemingly
contradictory meteorological

fluctuations are actually part of a global climatic upheaval. However widely
the weather varies from

place to place and time to time, when meteorologists take an average of
temperatures around the globe

they find that the atmosphere has been growing gradually cooler for the past
three decades. The trend

shows no indication of reversing. Climatological Cassandras are becoming
increasingly apprehensive,

for the weather aberrations they are studying may be the harbinger of
another ice age.

Telltale signs are everywhere -from the unexpected persistence and thickness
of pack ice in the

waters around Iceland to the southward migration of a warmth-loving creature
like the armadillo from the

Midwest.Since the 1940s the mean global temperature has dropped about 2.7

White House "happy" for Gore's Nobel Peace Prize
Reuters
By Caren Bohan Reuters - Friday, October 12 03:26 pm

CLEARWATER, Florida (Reuters) - The White House praised former U.S. Vice
President Al Gore and the U.N. climate panel on Friday for winning the
Nobel Peace Prize for their work to raise awareness of the threat of global
warming.

"The president learned about it this morning," said White House spokesman
Tony Fratto, who is travelling with Bush in Florida. "Of course he's happy
for Vice President Gore and happy for the international panel on climate
change scientists who also shared the peace prize."

"Obviously, it's an important recognition and we're sure the vice president
is thrilled," added Fratto, who said he did not know of plans for Bush to
make a congratulatory call to Gore.
