Budget deficit tops $1 trillion for first time

That is true, most of the people who get these tax credits already pay little or no tax. That is not to say there are not exceptions, just that the majority are already not paying taxes. Do you really not understand that concept?
Sure I understand the concept, it's just not an accurate assessment. So back up what your saying. You can't and you know it. Just more fear and paranoia talking points that have no real merit. So come on, show me that line that gives all these freebies out like your claiming. Here I'll help ya out.

No, you like to play stupid, just like when you claim Republicans have never offered their own ideas for things but I have seen IWS post over and over again alternative bills that you simply ignore and keep claiming they do not exist.

One example in the stimulus there is a one time payment of $250 to those on ssi and pensions. To qualify you had to be on one of these things by the end of 2008.

So show me that line, you say it's in there, shouldn't be hard to find..

.
Your right, it is not hard so go find it. I would think you would want to be informed on these things. You have a link, go read. As IWS pointed out, at the time the thing was big news all sorts of these things from the bill were laid out clearly but now your pretending to never have heard about these things.

You play stupid too often to take you serious, you just try to push it far enough people give up with your silly denials of plain fact.

Well the payout I just mentioned did happen, I know hundreds of people who have showed me their check. Two people I know have the check in a frame with a newspaper headline talking aobut how much their $250.00 check cost the American taxpayer.

But your sooo much smarter then I am, you even scooped me by knowing all about this nasty wasteful spending that I'm too stupid to realize. I'm sure glad there's people like you to set me straight, you have obviously went over everything with a fine tooth comb while my feeble minds sits in denial. So man, you would think someone that claims to know all about this and claim I'm the dummy would AT LEAST be able to reference this complaint somewhere on the actual stimulus.

I mean, your so strongly opposed to it, I would think you'd be able to tell me which page, which paragraph, everything I need to know and claim your well deserved victory over an idiot like me.

Like I told IWS.... SCHOOL ME. You obviously know all about it.

So which of these plans for the stimulus are actually being implemented at this very moment? I just read where they want to use it for these things... has it ACTUALLY been used for these things?
Until it is, that is just hearsay and rumor.
Well... let's just say I know a guy who knows this other guy who has a cousin in Oregon that received stimulus money to open an emu farm.

This guy happens to be Caribbean, too, with a red beard. He got him some stimulus money for being the sole Irish Caribbean emu farmer in the States.

Look... as much as it is all hearsay (heresy???) and bullsh!t, the fact that Obama is on the record as saying that there wouldn't be any pork in the INCREDIBLE GOATFUKK SPENDULOUS SWINDLE OF 2009, there was enough pork roasting in a pit to feed every fukken luau on Maui to Damned-if-I-know.

Yep, there sure as **** was, don't deny it. But it wasn't pork included into the stimulus, it wasn't as simple as a state going "OH I GET SOME MONEY, I'M GONNA DO THIS AND THAT AND THAT" If you think about it, that's partly the reason the stimulus is taking so long to get spent. Trying to sort out pet projects to actual economic stimulation. There sure were alot of big time pork dreams going through a few heads, both parties, and that was expected. But you need to get back to reality and understand just because such and such was boasting they wanna do this or that with the money, doesn't mean they are gonna get that money for their own personal toys.
NONE OF YA, have listed a currently running pet project from the stimulus, the reason being... THERE ARE NONE.

So from now on people, please, try complaining after the fact instead of fear mongering things that haven't happen. Quit being so negative.

Then why include it in the bill?

Quit being so negative.

They weren't included into the bill. Oh, that's right, I forgot, the Republicans never got a chance to actually read it. What they did have a chance to do with it, is skim through it and make up boogeyman horror stories about it. Sometimes I REALLY wonder how they come up with all these crazy notions about the stimulus, and also claim they never had a chance to read it. If you put two and two together, it makes perfect sense. Not only did they NOT read it, they never even tried. It's just easier to make up false talking points about something you've never read to your constituents.

Bender,

The "free checks" I mentioned did get paid out, the problem with the bill is it is so huge reading through thousands of pages to extract one section is close to impossible.

Remember, that was the reason Obama ordered them to sign it without reading it because America needed help right away to keep unemployment from rising above 8%.

The spending promised in the stimulus bill is still mostly not happening, I give you that much, but the programs that are promised are still included in the Bill and there is talk about a second stimulus bill, even pelosi has talked about it being possible.

If these projects are not going to be funded by the stimulus, then why not simply redirect the funds to where it is needed instead of talking about a second stimulus?

Because the stimulus money has already been allocated, that's why. More money doesn't mean something needs redirected, it means it needs more funding. To reallocate the money would be to cheat out one or many other states of their pre detirmend allocation. So the only option at that point would be to cut allocated state level programs for the individual state OR propose a 2nd stimulus.

Well that sounds like typical lock step Government thinking to me Bender, what happened to "Change"?

If the problem is the stimulus is not working as intended to offer short term stability, then we should not spend the money at all.

Remember the 'keep unemployment below 8%' promise. We have already gone past the 8% and well beyond in many States.

Pure Government spending does not stimulus by itself, that is like you losing your job and using credit cards to pay your bills Bender. If you never land a new job, then living on credit cards just made your situation worse, not better because now you have to deal with the intrest.

What the people need is new private sector jobs, that is the onoly thing that can negate the deficit being causes by such massive spending.
