i guess ill update..wow... okay well yeah

The drive home was just as ear ringing as the drive to the studio. Melissa looked everyone over. No one seemed confused about anything. She looked over to Chester who was driving this time. He flashed her a smile.

“Hey you guys, did you by any chance see a flash of light or something unusual behind one of the camera men?”

They looked at her in question.

“No.” They all said in unison.

“Oh…I’m probably just going insane.”

A couple of weeks had passed and it was Halloween week. Melissa was up in the study listening to her Itunes play list and her stereo. Daft Punk in the stereo and Led Zeppelin on the computer. She found out a way to have a sort of mash up in her study. She put some of the guys’ posters up and some other bands, she even had a couch. She was bobbing her head to Technologic and bits of Kashmir with her eyes closed. She was so caught up on her music she didn’t notice a slight pop next to her. Sande sat on Melissa’s couch, watching her. Melissa opened her eyes and stood up, without a notice in the world that Sande was in the room. No one would since Sande bended the light around her, but Melissa wasn’t stupid. She silently started a fire ball in her hand. She felt the creature move towards the door, the light still reflecting off of its body. Melissa turned around and shot the fire ball at the newly present creature’s face, but at the very moment, the door flew open revealing Rob. At that moment time seemed to freeze. Sande slowly jumped out of the way. Melissa brought her hands together into a water formation. Rob stared at the ball fire coming towards him. It was about three inches from his face when time unfroze. Rob ducked down to the floor but was a little to slow. The ball hit the wall and it ignited the wood. All three beings stared at the wall that was slowly burning.

“The wall is on fire.” Rob said from the floor.

“I got it.” Melissa responded.

She sent out the water whip in her hands and diminished the fire. Rob was on the floor a little horrified.

“Rob are you okay?” Melissa asked.

“Yeah but I think you burned the top of my hat off.”

Sande stifled a laugh. Mike came in with a wet face along with a fire distinguisher.

“Anyone care to explain?”

“It was Melissa’s fault.”

“No it wasn’t you were gonna attack me!”

“I was not!”

“Both of you quiet down!!” Mike screamed.

Melissa jumped from the volume of Mike’s voice. Slowly the other guys came to inspect the raucous. Sande stood up and help Rob up. The top of Rob’s head was merely burned but the top of his hat was finito. Mike sighed.

“Oh! Before I forget tomorrow I have a choir concert and I want you guys to come.”

A smiled appeared high on Chester’s face along with everyone else. What a great way to lighten the mood. Mike looked her with frowned brow.

“You’re in choir? That wasn’t an elective.” Mike stated flatly.

“It’s a study hall thing. I tried out and Donnie’s brother was like ‘You’re really good and we need you for the freshman show!’ and then I was like ‘Okay what do I do?’ and he was like “You have to put together a performance with your fellow freshman choir kids’ and I was like ‘Cool!’ and then I found out that Donnie was in it too, so we became the project managers and we have been getting ready since forever and tomorrow is our performance and if we do good, we can drop study hall and that becomes a new course!”

“Sure whatever... just don’t burn the house down.” Mike said completely off subject.

Melissa stared at him with hurt in her eyes. He obviously didn’t care to listen. Her eyes glazed a little as she fought back tears.

“Uh…fine…I’ll try not to…and it starts…at seven.” She said her voice quavering slightly. She slightly pushed herself through the crowd, still fighting back her tears. Chester tried to hug her but she pushed him away and jogged to her room. Everyone was quiet. Sande walked to Mike and slapped square in the face. He looked at her bewilderedly.

“What the **** was that for?!” He shouted angrily.

“Go ******* apologize to her. You didn’t even care to listen to what she had to say. She had bliss shining in her eyes and you ****** it up. Go apologize. It wasn’t her fault, it was mine. I snuck up on her. Don’t blame her for my actions like you did fourteen years ago when you blamed Silvestre for my death.”

The sound of Sande’s voice was spine chilling, but Mike wasn’t afraid of her.

“Yeah Mike it was an accident. I opened the door right when she threw it,” Rob added “and before I could even figure out what really happened she had the fire out.”

Mike felt guilty and his cheek was stinging powerfully.

“Fine I’ll go talk to her.”

Mike walked through the guys and headed down the hall. He reached Melissa’s closed door and was about to knock when the door swung open. Melissa looked up at him holding back tears. She was wearing a sweater and had her IPOD in her hand; her face went cold.

“Where are you going?” Mike asked.

“Out. I’ll be back later.”

Mike sighed.

“Fine. Take your cell phone at least.”

“Why wouldn’t I take it?” She answered not even bothering to hide the quaver in her voice anymore; her eyes cold. She pushed past Mike and headed downstairs. Mike looked at her bobbing head disappearing outside.
