I personally dont think that being an Emo has anything to do with your emotions. I think its just a style personally. Like if your are depressed or something, you may dress a little darker than someone who is happy all the time. But thats not always the case either, because there could be some preppy, girly-girl who wears pink all the time, and she could be really depressed...And also maybe the type of music you listen to could influence what you wear? I dunno, but thats just my opinion.

Emo means Emotional, which usualy means upset/depressed. The fact is some EMO's look as if they are intentionaly bringing down the mood around them as most people our age try to be upbeat (at least where i live) sure where not happy all the time but we dont dress up and kill our cruch over it. The fact is Emo's arent generally liked cause it's a group of people that is like 'Im upset LOOK at me'.

I have been depressed before, dealt with it and it's over. I didnt go into emo mood and wear tight pants, brush my hair forward and start resighting poetry by advertising ur Depressed u bring the mood down and thats why they get bashed the **** out of because as i said before its all bout FORCING attention.

over exaggerate their emotional state (emoness) like if their girlfriend/boyfriend breaks up with them and they are like "OMG STUPID GUY/GIRL MADE ME BREAK A NAIL BECAUSE I SLAMMED THE PHONE TOO HARD AGAINST THE WALL AND THE CANDYMAN HEARD!!!!! OMG LIKE SOOOOO TOTALLY EMBARASSING!!! GONNA SLIT MY WRIST AND DIE! "..there is more then like what is it 7 billion males and females out there.
