Fighting teen pregnancy

Chi and emkay both seem to agree with a lot of the same policies and bliefs as a woman that they make fun of and claim is an idiot. Don't they? :D

I am glad I didn't say that and can just get away with agreeing with you, lol.

There are two very big things I believe most women hate about Sarah, one is she is hot, very hot, way too hot and she makes them look bad because if Sarah can still look hot after several children, all women have the same ability, they just lack the motivation.

Second is she does not support abortion and abortion is the blind banner topic for a lot of women groups, for them if your not a supporter of abortion, they will hate you no matter how many other great qualities you may possess.

Oh, and taking care of your own children is not a job, I see it as a responsibility and a great pleasure in my life. Sure it can test you sometimes but as parents we asked for chilcren, it was something we had a choice over, so why see it as a job?

I don't like Sarah Palin and no way in **** would I ever vote for her. I've already stated my reasons a zillion times before. Certainly not any of the reasons TJ is imagining in his reply.

you just had to go there huh? Still looking down on the women folk every chance you get huh?

I dunno if being a parent qualifies as a job in the classic definition of the word- but it certainly is hard work.

How can you say you wouldn't vote for her in 2012? Isn't that being a bit prejudice? What if she were to cure cancer or something? Would you change your mind then?

Many associate negative things with the word "job". Mostly because they dislike theirs. Jobs can be enjoyable and rewarding. Sorry to say, but by definition being a parent is a job...the only difference is that we don't get paid for it. It's a requirement, a responsibility...whatever you want to call it...they are all synonyms for the word job. I'm not saying anyone should throw cash around like welfare, nor that i think they should be paid. I'm just saying that it's remarkable that they are willing to pay teenagers to be responsible by not getting pregnant but not for being a responsible parent. Just a question of priorities.

As far as Sarah Pahlin is concerned. Nice looking, strong lady with an annoying voice. For all I care, you can all have a nice circle jerk in her honor. I'm not jealous of her, never have been.

You're right. If she changed her stance on a lot of things, I could change my tune. I actually liked her a lot when I first learned of her, when McCain first picked her. But the more I learned about her, heard her annoying voice and her stance and outlooks on things I started disliking her.

Being a mom or dad is as much of a "job" as watching your own kids is "babysitting".
Are you saying parenting is the same as babysitting? I may be misinterpreting your comment. However if that is what you are saying....you just came off sounding like a huuuuuge **** smack! I'll give you a chance to set me straight.

No.

Parenting is to job what watching your own kids is to babysitting.

Hmmm...we'll just agree to disagree. I'm not going to split hairs on trivial definitions.
trivial definitions is about all we have on a message board full of words.

I don't think anyone is saying that parenting is easy, a walk in the park, or unrewarding.

What I think is being said is that a job is 9-5, you punch in, you do your duties, then you punch out and go home and try not to think about the job until tomorrow when you get up and do it all again. Jobs can be fun, but most of the time they are there just to earn money.

Parenting is much more than just a job.

Nope, as usual you miss the forest for the trees. I prefaced my comment to be only about women who have an unreasonable hatred of Sarah. The unreasonable hatred must come from somewhere right? I gave my opinion of where it comes from....am I not allowed my opinion of where resentment of this poisionous level comes from?

Taking everything Sarah has accomplished as a woman, there is really no reason to hate her, maybe not support her, but the hatred is wrong.

I dunno if being a parent qualifies as a job in the classic definition of the word- but it certainly is hard work.
I agree, but not all hard work is a job. Climbing a mountain is hard work, but does that equal a job? Job as defined in modern society is something you should get paid for, people who created children should not get paid for taking care of what they made, it is their responsibility, they made the kids, not the Government.

Where the difference with this program is it is a "preventive" measure to reduce the number of unwanted babies that come into the world and the Government pays for anyway. Either way the Government pays, so do we want the lower number or the higher number?

I don't believe in a system that says a dolt that can catch a football and run fast is more valuable to society then a garbage man and prove it with money..

You morons keep equating human value with money and "jobs" and I'll keep feeling sorry for you..

I completely believe in that system. It's capitalism. The football player is only going to get what the people, including the sanitation employee, say they are worth, by spending their money to see the football player.

That said. I fail to see what the f& K that has to do with this thread.

Apparently you say all these bankers/auto makers/insurance companies/ blah, blah, blah with their hands out are worth every penny, yet a mother trying to raise children should be made to feel like a piece of sh t if our government, whose sole purpose it is to benefit it's citizens, helps them have basic necessities for survival.

Has everything to do with it.. keep thinkin' til ya see what the it has to do with this thread.

Much of the so called "work" we do as human beings on this planet is not good for our species long term survival.. Or our present day mental health..

All work no play makes wez a dull boy..

All work no play makes wez a dull boy..

All work no play makes wez a dull boy..

All work no play makes wez a dull boy..

All work no play makes wez a dull boy..

All work no play makes wez a dull boy..

All work no play makes wez a dull boy..

I have no idea what kind of straw man argument you are trying to make, but I didn't say anything of the like.

I said a pro football player will only get what the market, the fans and the culture will allow them to make.

That's the way it should be.

In a utopian society everyone would make the same. I think that's a bunch of **** and utopia will not only never exist, but everyone shouldn't make the same amount of money.
