Mark almost dropped kenji once more as Mike had called out her name. She waved to mike and joe and lept back onto mark's back. Mark piggy backed her to the area where they had a set up in the middle of the football field. Smiling, she slid off of mark's back.

"What songs are you playing tonight in the set?"

She asked. Tom shrugged while Scott handed Mark the set list.

"These songs which are your favorite?"

Kenji scanned the list and picket out her four top favorite songs. Mark groaned as he looked at the first one on the list.

"What is it with you and tom that you like aliens so much?"

Kenji shrugged her shoulders.

"I dont know its just a cool song. "

She said brushing it off. Tom high fived her.

"Yeah kenji you rock."

He said with a ridiculously large grin on his face. Scott twirled his drum sticks in his hands as he started streatching out his arms. Tom put his guitar on and started strumming on it flying up and down the fretboard with his fingers playing out random chords. Mark did the same thing with his bass.

"I'm gonna go get something to eat, I'll meet you guys here after your set."

Kenji said as she turned to the concession stand. Her stomache growled. She bought a popcorn and gulped it down.

"Hey Mike Whats up?"

Kenji said as she spotted Mike in the line.

"Not much, what's the deal with Brad?"

Mike asked as he ran his fingers through his hair. Kenji frowned.

"He's just being a jerk. He's acting like I can't hang out with other people."

Kenji said with a pink tingle appearing on her cheeks. Mike had noticed that happen every time she got irritated.

"He's just being protective of you."

Mike said giving her a slight hug so he wouldnt spill nachoes all over her.

"I know but he needs to back off."

She said as she kicked at the ground. Mike smiled, he was like the big brother of the group.

(still kenji's POV)

I sighed as my phone went off.

"Are you kidding me?!"

I growled as Mike left. I sighed as I picked it up. It was my old friend CJ.

"hello city morgue, you kill 'em, we chill 'em."

"Nice to talk to you too kenji."

"What up CJ?"

"Not much just wanted to tell you that I got the video finally finished and its been sent in. Have you checked your mail today?"

"No why?"

"I sent you a copy of the tape on DVD and then theres something else that should be comming your way. I'll keep you posted. You done any crazy **** lately?"

"If you count hanging with Blink-182 then no."

"*** they are so gay. Why do you listen to them any ways?"

"They are not. To each his own. Well I got to go, You caught me in a bad time."

"Ok Kenj, talk to you soon."

Tom and Mark had come over to meet me.

"Hey Kenji, we're going to be going on tour you want to come?"

Tom asked. I grinned.

"As much fun as that sounds, I dont think so. I have to keep up with school and **** like that."

I said. Tom shrugged his shoulders.

"Thats too bad."

They said as they high fived me and then went and left. I grabbed my skateboard and then waved bye to mike.

"I'll catch you later."

I skated home doing some old school carving. My appartment was ****. Walls covered in skateboarding posters and what not, mostly skateboarding stuff. I grabbed the mail that was stuffed through the mail slot. I shifted through the bills and then tripped over a box that was infront of my door. The first thing I did was to take the box and stick it on the table that was in the living room. I opened up the first manila envelope that was from CJ I then poped in the DVD. It was kick ***. I then opened up the manila envelope that was on the box. I read it.

"Dear Kenji,

we recieved a demo tape from you and we would like to sponsor you as a skateboarder. If you wish. We have sent you a few things that we want you to have as gifts. thank you very much and please call us if you would like us to sponsor you.

the people at Element"

"Holy ****."

I said as I opened up the box. There were tons of shirts and a couple of pants from Element. **** yeah I want to be sponsored. I opened up my cell phone and called the number that they had left me.

"Hello this is Element how may I help you?"

"Hi my name's kenji and I recieved a package and letter from a Mr Sanchez."

"Hold on a minute let me transfer you."

I picked up a couple of the shirts. Man I had shirts that had the names of my favorite skaters on them.

"Hello this is Sanchez."

"Hi I'm Kenji and I got a package from you about being sponsored."

"Oh yes. I remember now. You want to be sponsored?"

"Yes thats awesome."

"Alright then, you'll need to go on the skateparks of america tour. You need to meet with the other pros on team element who are going on this tour on monday. You need to meet with them in LA international Airport. Alright?"

"Ok. I'll be there."

"nice talking with you. Hope that you do well on tour."

I closed my cell phone. Wait wait w-a-i-t. I just turned down Tom DeLongue's offer to go on tour but I just agreed to go on tour with a bunch of pros that I dont even know. Wait this means that I cant do school this is going to take me out for the rest of the school year. I automatically called the school and got them to send me my work over the internet. at least that was taken care of. I then dialed Mikes number and asked him to clean out my locker and bring me my books. Mike brought me my books. I was so greatfull for him. I dont know how I was gonna explain this to him, so I tried.

"........and so in other words, I rejected an offer from blink and picked one up from skateboarding."

I said as Mike sat with me on my couch.

"Well I'm up for all of what you do. I believe in you and I'll take care of your house but your the one who has to take care of telling the others about it. You cant just run off like chester did. I feel so bad about that."

Mike said as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Dont mike, I think that's probably my fault."

Mike gave me a sympathetic pat on the back.

"I can be the first to say that we're all proud of you for getting sponsored."

I gave a shy grin.

"You can really thank CJ for that. To commerate this, I'm going to get the tattoo that I finally wanted to get."

Mike gave me a huge pat on the back.

"Well I've invited the guys to dinner at a resturant tomorrow. The special occasion is you got something you were working hard for. And the Tattoo's on me."

Mike said as he grabbed her by the hand and pulled me out of the room while he grabbed the sketch book that I was always doodeling in.

"You're getting that tattoo tonight."

Mike said as he opened up the door of his truck. I climbed in with him and we drove off to the place where he worked afterschool designing tattoos.

"Ok I'm gonna let Gerick do your tattoo. He's the best. You know which one you want right?"

(still kenji's POV)

I grimaced and winced and made faces as Mike's friend Gerick worked on my tattoo. This was gonna look killer. Gerick finally wiped off my tattoo the last time as I took a look at it.

"That rocks."

I said as I looked at it. It had my skater from THUG 2 as well as the words on my deck that i designed saying 'Skate to live, live to skate." (A/n this will be the next tattoo that I get in a few weeks.) It was **** cool.

(the next day)

"So Mike why'd you call us all here tonight?"

Brad asked. Dave also sat drumming his fingers on the table with Rob.

"Yeah maybe you can enlighten us on why a certaint some one has a kick *** tattoo."

Joe said as he started flicking at his napkin with his fork.

"Ok ok Shut up guys. Hey watch it there some one might choke on that."

Mike said as knocked Joe, who had his usuaul pixie stick.

"You guys are like the best in the world. That's why I feel that this is the best time to tell you guys that I'm going to be leaving school on monday."

"WHAT?!"

They all half asked and half shouted.

"I'm leaving to start my new job on monday. I am now a sponsored skater on team Element."

I said. The guys kept looking at me like I was nuts.

"Are you serious?"

Brad asked.

"Totaly."

I said as I gave all of them hugs.

"Well also we want you to be careful cuz the world isnt going to be as accepting as we are."

They grinned.

"We know that your gonna do fine."

Brad said as he slapped her on the back.

"Yeah there's always gonna be a place for you here Kenji."

I bit the bottom of my lip and nodded.

"Thanks guys. This means alot to me."

(Monday )

I packed two pairs of jeans, four pairs of shirts, one hoodie, and extra socks and underwear in my small duffel bag. In my book bag I had my MP3 player and my PSP. The guys had met me in the airport.

"We all chipped in and got this for you. We know this will mean alot to you."

They all handed me a package that was long and thin. I ripped the paper off.

"****, You guys didnt have to do this."

I said as I looked at the new deck. It had the same graphics as my tattoo.

"Yeah we did. We also didnt have to cut school to see you off. But play nice with the other pros."

Dave said as he ruffeled my hair.

"and if the other pros want to fight then you gotta kick ***."

"But I dont want to their ***."

I said as I struggeled against Rob's vise like hug. Soon I checked in and I waved good bye to my friends. I then saw some one holding up a sign with my name on it. I went over to the dude who was standing with the pros. I swallowed hard.

"you Kenji?"

"Yeah."

I said nervously to the the guy who was holding up the sign with my name on it.

"Nice to meet you Noobie, I'm Jamie Thomas."

I swallowed hard again this was going to be nuts.

"Yeah and I'm Mike Valley. Nice to meet you Kenji."

Holy **** on toast, I cant believe this is happening.

"Nice to meet you too."

I cant believe this, **** im so nervous.

"Dont be so nervous kid. We're just waiting for Bam and then we'll get on this flight out of here. You can sit with me."

Mike valley said to me. Be still my beating heart. Man Mike Valley's not as bad as some people say he is.

"Hey nice board, where'd you get it?"

Jamie asked me.

"Well my friends got is specailly made for me I designed the graphics. Its the same as my new tattoo."

I said as I showed them my tattoo.

"Nice."

Mike said as he gave me a pat on the back.

"Hey look, theres bam. Now we can get this show on the road."

Mike said as he handed me my plane ticket. Bam didnt even spare me a momentairy glance. I shrugged. I bet that was how all the noobies were treated.

****... ok i was wrong... she's gunna hook-up with bam, not that this story is all about hooking-up... but that's what goes through my mind ok! lol, can't wait for an update (that rhymes!)

finally long at last I can post a new part of the story. sorry for taking so long but school and home then plus being grounded in like forever well, you get the idea ><* any ways on with the story. I cant even remember what chapter this is.

"This place is nice."

I commented. Mike Valley nodded. We were on the last leg of our skate park tour and we only had like four stops left. it kind of made me a little sad. We were in Arrizona. It was a hot day, no breeze to cool anything off. I made my way to a coffee shop with Mike V. He was one of the nice-est guys on the tour. Bam was pretty cool but still, Mike V took the cake. He said I reminded him of his daughter and that's one of the main reasons he kept an extra pair of eyes out for me. Just like Mike from back home, always playing the dad role. But Mike V. was more of a dad to me then I've ever known. I walked up to the counter and got a Mocha. I blinked and did a double take at the guy behind the cash register.

"Chester?"

"Kenji?"

We both asked at the same time. A smile broke out over his face.

"What are you doing here?"

I asked him happily. Chester smiled.

"What do you mean what am I doing here what are you doing here?"

"I got picked up by Element Skateboards, We're on Demo tour."

I explained as someone handed me my coffee.

"I had to come back here for something."

Chester said softly.

"Chaz, the guys are worried sick about you. I was too. Why did you leave just like that?"

I asked. Chester gave a weak smile.

"I get off in about a half an hour, why dont you stick around and I'll Tell you then?"

I nodded.

"Sounds fair."

"Hey kenji!"

Chester called again.

"What ?"

I asked as I turned around.

"Nice tattoo."

He said grinning like a maniac. I sat down at a table in the corner. Mike V. came and sat down with me.

"He seems like a nice guy."

Mike V said with a raised eyebrow. I shrugged.

"He's one of my old friends. One day he just up and left. We didnt know where he was or anything untill now."

I said taking a sip of my coffee. I spun the wheels on my skateboard absent mindedly. It had become a habit that I did when ever I was nervous. I saw Mike's eyes flicker from the deck of my skate board to Chaz who was still working the counter. It was true I had used his Image in an Anime style as the guy for my tattoo and what the guys back home used as my deck image, but it wasnt on purpose. After a half hour, Mike Patted me on the back.

"Dont forget that the demo's in three hours, "

Mike said ruffeling my hair as he got up to leave. I tried to smooth it back into place. Chaz came over to me.

"So you want to know."

He said softly.

"I guess its better that I show you."

Chester said taking me by the hand and pulling me out the door.

"you know this is my home town. After Sam dumped me and my mom and step-dad were through telling me how worthless I was, I just decided to come back here with my step mom and dad. But that was an even bigger mistake, I guess its just that no matter where I go I will always be a screw up."

"That isnt true chester. Youre one of the best friends I've ever had. I never thought of you as a screw up. Sure you have your awkward moments, but who dosent? I know that your one of my best friends and thats the only thing that matters to me."

I said as I hugged him with my skateboard free arm. We were now in a run down neighborhood. Chester sighed.

"This is where I grew up. Its pretty pathetic isnt it?"

"Its better then living in a hotel."

I said, thinking about back to when I brought the guys to the hotel for my mom's funeral.

"I guess your right. But even a hotel can be a home if youre there with some one you love."

Chester said offhandedly. I shrugged.

"Dont worry chester, things will always get better. Remember its like you always say....."

"In the end it dosent even matter."

We said at the same time.

"look that's the house I lived in when my parents were together. I was a terror when I was little."

"I can believe that."

I said with a small laugh. we had wandered to the park across the street.

"What's that suposed to mean?"

He asked in a jocular mood as I sat down on one of the swings and he began to push me. My skateboard was laying in the sand. I looked back my eyes meeting with his.

"You just seem to me like the type whos the annoying little kid thats all."

I said with a wink.

"Are you flirting with me?"

"Maybe."

I said in a seductive voice.

"You know I have a skate demo in a couple of hours, you want to come and watch?"

"Yeah of course, you know I love watching you skate."

Chester said as our faces were less then an inch apart.

"look-it, I told you I saw her."

There was a group of middle school kids watching us. I watched Chester turn red. I can only bet that I was the same color.

"Kenji, can I have your autograph?"

They all held up their boards with sharpies. I smiled.

"Sure you can."

I said smiling. I quickly signed about five of the boards.

"Thanks. I mean your an awesome skater. I saw you when you were skating in DC. That was amazing."

A little guy wearing a Bam tee-shirt said happily. I nodded.

"Well thank you. that means alot to me."

"Is your boyfriend a skater too?"

another kid asked as he looked at chester.

"What makes you think he's my boyfriend?"

"you were looking at each other with Bedroom eyes."

One guy said making kissing noises.

"I dont know, Chester do you skate?"

"A little...."

He said turning pink.

"Well guys, we have to go. Make sure you come to the demo today."

I said as Chester and I stood up to leave. I picked up my skateboard.

"How do you do it?"

Chester asked as he turned his head back to look at the kids.

"Pretty easy come to think about it. It makes me feel good to sign autographs. One day your gonna be famous like that too."

I said to chester.

i guess i had to update some time. Expect another one next week. I thought I lost some readers since I havent been able to update. c'est la vive. oh and reps to ppl who reviewed
