(christmas Day)
Kenji looked at the scrawny christmas tree in the corner of her little appartment. She sat up on the mattress and blinked, wondering what it was that woke her up in the first place. She jumped as she heard a knock on the door again. She pulled on a shirt over her jeans that she had fallen asleep in. She opened up the door.
"SUPRISE!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!"
A bunch of people shouted. Kenji rubbed her eyes.
"wow you guys, what are you doing here?"
She said as she opened the door to let her friends and their families in. Joe jumped on top of her and gave her a noogie, messing up her hair even worse then it was.
"Hey kenji, how are you?"
Joes parents said as they gave her a hug.
"We come bearing gifts!"
Chester said as he grabbed a big plastic bag and drug it in the tiny living room.
"And I'm here too."
Dave said as he helped chester bring in the bag.
"Its good to see you dave."
Kenji said giving him a hug.
"Yeah I heard that you were heading to Iraq, "
Dave said as he and chester put the sack under her tree.
"Did they tell you?"
She asked as they all sat down with their families. Rob's parents sat with him on the floor while Mike and his parents started bringing in chairs. Brad and his dad brought in some from the kitchen.
"no I heard from my dad."
Dave said as the parents started bringing in food.
"Really? How did your dad know?"
Dave smiled as he helped Chesters mom with the food.
"You can ask him when he gets here. He should be here soon."
Dave said casualy as his mom gave out drinks.
"I'm sorry about things."
Kenji said as she hugged him. There was a knock on the door. Kenji's eyes went wide as she automatically stood up at attention. Dave chuckeled.
"Chill Kenji, that's my dad."
Dave's dad nodded and kenji sat down and let out a sigh.
"You mean to tell me that your dad is captain ferrall?"
"The one and only."
Dave said with a laugh.
"Dave why didnt you tell me that you knew one of my troops?"
Dave turned pink. He muttered something incohearent.
"I didnt know she was one of your men...er...women...."
"My boy talks very highly of you. I hear your an exceptional soccer player."
The captain said. Kenji nodded.
"I also hear that UCLA is looking for another soccer player for their girls team. I think I can get you out of Iraq and at UCLA with a scholarship for soccer."
"Your kidding me!"
Kenji said wide eyed.
"You'll be going to school with us."
Rob said as he motioned to him brad dave and chester.
"We're going to art school. But we'll be able to hang out on weekends and durring the week."
Mike and joe said at the same time. Mike's mom clapped her hands.
"Alright, lets get the presents started."

"You guys know that both of these things are important to me. But I don't know what to say."
I said as I sat with my head in my hands. The guys smiled.
"You know that what ever you decide, we still love you for it."
Chester said. Kenji couldnt help but smile as she flopped down on chesters lap. Dave rubbed his chin.
"well as long as your in school then you cant go and fight. but if its something you really want to do then you can do it after you finish school."
Dave said sagely. Mike took a pillow and swatted Dave with it. I smiled as I motioned to my soccer ball in the corner of my living room.
"I guess then I better dust off the soccer ball and get to practicing. But first...."
I said as I grabbed a notebook from my backpack.
"I want to know your opnion on which tattoo I should get. I designed them all."
I said as the guys looked through the notebook. I saw chester's jaw drop as he looked through them.
"well which ever you pick I know someone who does really awesome tattoos."

"you cant keep running from everyone and every little thing!"
"You better no screw this up!"
"Your brothers are ten times what you will ever be you little snot! that stupid band wont ever get you any where!"
"Why do you even bother chester? your hearts never into anything other then that stupid music."
I sat in my bed room. It was bare except for a desk and my bed. I cant just let them do that to me over and over like they always do. I know Im a **** up, you dont have to tell me that. Screw this ****, I am outta here. I dont care if they beat the **** out of me for it, I sure as **** aint taking it any more. Mike and dave and rob have the most perfect families. I stuffed all my clothes in my bookbag along with my books and I slipped out the window.
(general pov)
"Has any one seen Chester?"
Mike asked as they all got together on the beach. Rob shrugged.
"I havent seen him since Sam put him in that emotional smackdown earlier this week."
Joe said refering to the break up.
"He wont even return my calls."
Kenji said as she hit joe with a pile of wet sand. Joe started jumping up and down trying to get the sand out of his shorts. He gave a growl as he headed for the ocean. Brad laughed as Kenji jumped ontop of him, sitting in his lap. She bent close to brad as if she was about to kiss him. Brad closed his eyes expectantly.......... he did get a kiss but also a chunk of ice down his shirt.
"Get her!"
Brad said as he and rob grabbed her legs while dave and mike grabbed her arms. They started dragging her to the ocean.
"no no no no stop stop!!"
Kenji said as she tried to get loose. The four guys tossed her up in the air. She went crashing down under the waves. The guys were already in waist deep water. Brad turned to head back to the sand when the other guys started laughing at him.
"What? What's so funny?"
He demanded.
"oh bradford!"
Kenji said in a sing-song voice as she held up his swimming trunks. He gave a squak and duked under the waves as he went after kenji and his shorts.

you know what its been like forever since I've updated this. Dont worry I haven forgotten about it but I will be working on another story. I have the next part i just have to upload it.

Kenji said in disbelief. The guys nodded. They were sitting outside at lunch. School had been so weird with out chester there.
"Seriously, he dosent answer his phone, wont answer his door, and he dosent return emails."
Mike said running his fingers through his red and black hair. Kenji groaned as she streatched out under the tree. She was sitting on Brad's lap.
"I honestly don't know where he is."
Joe said as he played with a frog. Rob nodded as well.
"i know, Mr Miller put me under the lamp today trying to get me to tell him where chester was."
He said taking a grape from the cluster on the tray and launched it at the gym wall.
"Well where ever he is he better be nice and healthy cuz I'm going to kill him when I get a hold of him."
Mike said as he threw a grape at Kenji and Brad. Brad took a piece of ice and nailed Dave in the cheek.
"Ditto."
Dave said as he poked at what was suposed to be some kind of salsbery steak with his fork.
"bark bark."
Brad said every time that Dave poked the mystery meat with his fork.
"Not funny. I was planning on eating that you know."
Dave said crossly as he stood up and dumped the plastic trays into the trash can. Brad rolled his eyes at Dave.
"You know the school board wonders why we always buy the fatty and fried foods. If school lunch didn't look like it was going to eat you then maybe we wouldnt by so many sodas and **** like that."
Brad said wondering out loud.
"Man watch out Socrates, he has nothing on you brad."
Kenji said with a laugh. Brad gave her a shy smile.
"Whatever. you know you love me."
"Yeah but I can't remember why."
She said giving him a playfull punch on the arm as she laid her head on his lap.
"Man you two act like you should be dating."
Mike and Rob said at the same time. They started flicking grapes at the two.
"All in due time my friends."
Was all that Brad would say when the subject was brought up.
"You know one of these days, we're going to be famous and travel the world."
Mike said randomly.
"Yeah then we'll get back at the ******** who made our life ****."
Joe said. Kenji let out a sigh. Brad could tell something was up. When the other guys went inside to put their trays up, he asked her,
"Why are you so down about us going on tour?"
She placed a hand on his cheek.
"Cuz I don't know if I'll ever get to see you again."
