400 murders caused by guns.

That's the only fact that concerns me.

Comparing children with matches to criminals with guns was an asinine
point not worth debating.

Really?

Let's see...

391 murders in 2007, 85 percent of those were killed with a gun.

391 85% = 332.35

391 - 332 = 59

What was used to kill those 59 people.

In the other 332, how did the guns cause those murders? Do guns give off
some sort of mind-bending rays that turn people evil?

Address the problem; don't impose a placebo that won't work.

Sorry, I believe there's more than 400 handguns in criminal hands
already. One handgun a month is not going to solve Philly's problems.

BTW, give us the real numbers of murders committed with handguns in
Philly in 2007. The number you cited earlier seems to be inflated.

He has a mantra that cures all evils--one gun a month.

Show him where he's demonstratively wrong and he falls back to the
mantra--one gun a month.

Are you stupid enough to know the creep couldn't have killed five people
with a feather? And if he had a knife I'm willing to bet it also wouldn't
have been five people.
