Okay, this post is for the traders & sharers.

Last night, I was talking to Jordan & Spike, and & went to slepp thinking about something, & during the night, I had an epiphany. Here is my new view on this whole situation...

I have come to the conclusion that the fan base of Linkin Park needs both traders & sharers to survive, neither one can survive solely on it's own. My reasoning, We need traders like Jordan to constantly be able to get new & better things. The sharers we need to be able to get that material out to the general public, to be able to keep the fan base. They must co-exist to survive. The reason they can't survive on they're own os because in trading, lets say someone down the line gets a new bootleg, & puts a higher price on it than it's worth, so that show gets spread less & less as time goes on. That usually doesn't happen once, I've seen it plenty. For the sharers, the reason they can't survive is because without traders gettign them new shows to, share, then eventually the run out of material & wither away...

Well, this is completely my opinion, so take it or leave it, just don't argue it.

Vash... I completely agree with you.

There's got to be a middle ground we can all reach in this. The fact of the matter is that both groups need each other. Without those of us sharing files wanting them, the traders will get no 'value' out of new shows. Without the traders, the fans don't get new shows.

So how about this...

To Jeff, Spike, Jordan and all the rest:

We all come up with a list. New shows are released on a time delayed basis, you guys keeping some to yourselves. There's got to be compromise here though... No keeping all of the good stuff all to yourselves. In turn, we keep certain shows to ourselves as well UNLESS it's traded amongst us.

What we're slowly realizing is that if we can all work together on this... We can only become stronger. There's no reason whatsoever that this can't be worked out.

trust me, that issue has been brought up countless times. I doub there is any true way to coexist, someone will always try and bring it back to the way it was for their own selfish reasons

I completely agree with you, without the traders having some leverage the odds of us getting new shows are slim. If we can come up with a compromise and meet in the middle then I'm all for your cause. We have come a long way in the last couple days hopefully we continue to go in the right direction.

Yeah...as long as everybody can keep their cool and stay on task, we can all work together.

I initially was for releasing all bootlegs immediately, but now that I think about it, it would be better to wait simply out of respect for those traders who obtain the material for the sharing group.

We will need as many people as possible working together on this to make it work, and we ALL must agree on what we have to do. We can't fight about it endlessly like how this thread started.

Any other traders and/or sharers willing to agree to a middle ground?

There's always room for compromise, my man. :)

I'm just trying to get shows out to the fans where they belong. Without the fans, the band's not here, which means we're not here... Ya know?

i would love to find a middle ground on all this, but currently it does not seem like that would be possible. i have alot bigger staff than anyone could guess, i think that this definitly has the possibility to work, especially with the ammount of staff i have.(which is about 2x the ammount i have on the site)

As long as we can compromise... We can work through it.

The common fan lost a source recently with linkin-inside folding. There aren't many places fans can go for live recordings, even the common ones. I think we can be there to help fill the hole.

I have a big staff too, 400 strong, but the question is, is it worth it. I feel like saying "Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall." Thats about the analogy of this situation. Or we can compare it to the Cold War, are we going to co-exist or whos going to move in and steal Cuba?

Getting into some heavy stuff there. LOL This is audio and video, not weapons of mass destruction. :p

We have to co-exist. There's no other way. But the last thing we need is to fight over this. We've got a chance here to change the community for the best...

(Seems almost Matrix-like. Zion versus the Machines. I vote that Marco plays the part of Neo.)

A fight is inevitable. The only wayt to succeed is to resolve that fight diplomatically.
