PACHUCA & CHIVAS WITH THEIR SIGHTS SET ON JAPANHidalgo Stadium. Wednesday, April 25th at 20:35 hrs.
- Aggregate score is tied at 2
- Loser will go on to play in the "Copa Sudamericana"
The duel between the two league leaders, Pachuca and Guadalajara, will take place on the field of "Hidalgo Stadium." Both teams' objective is to advance onto the FIFA Club World Cup which will take place next December in Japan.
PACHUCA
There is nothing else on the "Tuzos'" mind but to win or win, since a loss would give them a ticket to play in the "Copa Sudamericana" which is meaningless to them since they're automatically in the tournament for winning the last edition.
It should be mentioned that Pachuca will be playing with one less goal than they should be playing since refereeing errors prevented them from taking a 3-2 (or even a 4-2) lead.
The team will be complete in this game except for their star defender Aquivaldo Mosquera, who will miss the game for yellow card accumulation. From then on out, the entire team will be complete. This includes their remarkable offense, who will undoubtedly display what they're made of.
GUADALAJARA
On the other hand, the players commanded by Jose Manuel "el Chepo" de la Torre have their mind set on taking the cup. They will with no doubt come out to win it all.
During the first leg, Chivas looked better throughout parts of the game, but at other times, they found themselves easily penetrated by Pachuca, something that might of cost them a loss in "El Jalisco."
An extra ingredient for the "Tapatios" is that it is probable that the majority of the fans watching the game will be pulling for the red and white side. Even though the directives from Pachuca tried to prevent this, it is nearly impossible to stop the wave of Chivas fans that will even out conditions in the game.
The team from the "Pearl Occident" will have their starting line-up who is at their best to play this Wednesday to attempt to acquire the crown of the most important tournament in the CONCACAF.
THE GAME
In this tournament, visitor goals don't count. Reason for why both teams will not scoot back into their half of the field and defend throughout the whole game. Given the circumstances, there is to a more spectacular game than the one from the first leg. Both teams with a proven system of play, both with a 4-3-3. Both excellent with the ball, each player with important advancements into the other teams side of play, and with their trio of strikers (respectively), with Bautista, Medina, and Bravo for Chivas, and Gimenez, Alvarez, and Cacho for Pachuca, these six will be explosive for the most part.
Both teams used the same amount of players last Saturday in the Mexican league game (Chivas won 4-0, and Pachuca 1-0), which means they'll be equal in the matter of fatigue.
I believe in
Chivas's victory.
