It's totally surprising that you're so pious now (but totally cool) I've never met anyone who made such a stark decision... wow.

I'm better off than I have been in a long time. College did wonders for me.

I have been a Christian for about three years now...but during college I realized that *** had bigger plans for me than just writing...he wanted me involved in his plans for the future directly. On the front lines.

Which, I have discovered, I'm liking more and more.

I do volunteer right now with my church, but here is the scoop:

Well, I'm working on my degree right now.

Its four years of college, plus a two year internship/real-life practice at a church with a youth group.

Once I'm out of college, the average wage for a youth pastor is 25,000 - 35,000. In US dollars of course.

So, it doesn't necessarily PAY well, but money is of no concern to me anymore...I'm going to be doing ***'s work. That alone is payment.

I am working as a volunteer right now for my church's youth group. I'm the youth leader for the junior high boys.

I write songs occasionally, but for the most part it has dissapeared. I still love photography though.

I go to Taylor Univerisity Fort Wayne, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Its a really great place. It isn't perfect, for sure, but its the best place I have been thus far in my life.

Haha, one of my best friends from college is a metalhead, and he is gonna be a youth pastor too. Hoodies, studded belts, black clothes, dyed hair, the works.
Some Christians may freak out at people like me, or him, but hey - one of the most amazing things about Jesus is that he loves ya no matter what color your hair...which is more than you can say for some people in the church, you know?

Before you can be real with ***, you have to be real with yourself. A cookie cutter image isn't what being a Christian is about.

All that said...I do miss my mohawk.

So. Life...

Life has been pretty good. I have been relaxing and beginning to prepare myself for my missions trip in two days! We are traveling to Dayton, Ohio to work at a homeless shelter and a Ronald McDonald house. I have people praying for me and that is awesome. I'm also looking forward to the mall, the reds game, and Kings Island. I can't wait to hit the mall though...im such a freakin commercialist pig. I need a new cross really bad and so I'm hoping I find it there.

I went out on a quest for an iPod wall charger. But, alas, I failed in my quest. I did, however, find a totally sweet necklace that will now be occupying the space around my neck. So that is two necklaces I got. I may try to dig up my spikes before I go, as they have been lost for over a month now! >_<

I did hang out with Seth today...he was kind of annoying but I forgive him. He is just bummed that I'm leaving fo four days but too emotionally screwed up to just say so. Although, I think he is starting to hold my faith against me...and he better not be. Because I sure as heck aint backin down from that fight, and frankly he needs to learn a thing or two before he starts to criticize.

I'm missing my friends from college. I'm definitly missing my brother from another mother, Josh.

I'm so glad I'm not working the rest of the summer.

I am totally back. From Ohio, anyway.

It was a really good trip...our hotel was great, the kids were great, and alot of growth took place on that trip which is so good!

College is coming soon...hooray! Three weeks and then I am out! I can't wait!

So I have had a very uneventful day...behold, the fruits of my day thus far!

1. Ate two pop-tarts

2. Finally decided on a haircut for my friend's wedding. I'm the best man, and his my best (and longest) friend I've ever had...so I want to him to have the best wedding ever and I wanto clean up for it...cause after all we have been through its the least I could do.

I buzzed off my mohawk for this wedding, three months ahead of time, so that my hair could grow in for a good haircut. Haha.

But I've decided to get a fohawk, and maybe just come it over for the wedding....and keep the sides real short. I'm pretty much digging this idea.

So that will be sixth hairstyle I have had this year. Wow...I only get my haircut once every two-three months so I'm always changing it up, in case anyone is wondering if I am insane or something.

I just wrote two paragraphs about hair. IM A WOMAN NOOOOOO

- Bloodlined Calligraphy...they are Christian hardcore...and their lead singer/screamer is a CHICK! named Ally Fleming...how awesome is that? She has an awesome voice too...most women cannot scream like that. I think its cool.

- 30 Seconds to Mars' first album...is AMAZING. I am like in love with it right now...which is pretty sad because that means I'm turning into a fanboy. I have shoes, gloves, a shirt...wait.

life has been okay. its been a busy weekend...hung out with alot of people and it was all good I guess. made some plans for next weekend.

OH! I'm driving to fort wayne on monday so that will be SUHWEEEEET. (that is the town my college is in...wikipedia it) MAN, i love that city to death.
