ok you guys know the othe two stories about the weird family with me, rav, fribby, woody and foxx, this is my story about it. this first part is just about me rav and Rob. PM me or post on her your permission for me to use u as a character *cough fribby, woody and fox cough * but here we go. its kindda going off a little on Ravs idea with the actual born family and our half sister.
"Mum where is everyone?"
A 16 yr old girl asked sleepily as she came into the living room of a fairly averaged sized house that was in a nice suburban neighborhood in Los Angeles.
"Your dad and brother are at work and your sister's visiting friends house."
Her mom, Rav, said as she gave her third child a kiss on the forehead. Mel frowned as she sat down on the plush carpet in the living room. Rav folded up the last bit of laundry while Mel searched for some saturday morning cartoons. With a momentairy glance at her mum, Mel instantly knew something was up.
"Did daddy ever come home last night? I didnt hear the garage door."
Her mom shook her head dismally. Mel and her brother would have known if Rob had come in since they shared a room over the garage.
"He had to stay at the studio last night,"
Mel sunk her head into her knees. Her father was famous and she accepted that, it didnt really matter how she felt, family always came first and she knew that Rob not being there was starting to really put a strain on the family.
"That's what he said last night, and the night before that and the night before that."
Mel muttered softly. She loved her father with all her heart but he was never around any more.
"Hun, you know its.."
"its his job I know."
Rav sighed as she lovingly patter her daughters shoulder.
"He didnt ask to be famous, he didnt ask for this hetic life. He's trying to make this the best situation possiable for you and your sibblings."
Mel sighed in defeat. She was thinking back to something her dad taught her along time ago when she had her first fight in school a couple of years after she started martial arts.
"Daddy always said that if something was important and precious to you that you should protect it with your life and do everything to keep from loosing it. Is the family even precious to him any more?"
"Dont say that!"
Rav said sternly, starteling the teenager. Mel hugged a bunny like stuffed animal close to her. it was the first stuffed animal that she had ever had, it was a totoro. His name was squishy rob, it had always been that. (if you dont know what a totoro looks like google a pic of it)
"I'm sorry. This is alot harder on me then I thought it would be with your father. Come on lets get dressed, I believe you need a new drumset since your last one is about ten years old?"
A huge smile graced Mel's face. Finally a new drumset all her own. Her last one was her fathers old hand me down.
"CAn I get a big kit like daddy has?"
Rav shook her head,
"we'll see."
"Aww mannn! thats code for ferociously unlikely."
"It means we'll see."
Mel smiled at her mom as she ran upstairs to her and her brothers room. She pulled on one of her many black matix shirts and hats, being that her dad indorsed them, he got alot of free stuff for them. It was a perk but it made sure they never had to buy clothes. Rav gave a small smile as Mel came back down stairs. Mel was already so much like her father in looks and personality, It was almost scary. At times when she would get mad at her sibblings, it could be hard do tell who was doing the yelling if rob was home.
"and if we're lucky, maybe we can stop by to see your father, bring him some lunch maybe."
That made her daughter's smile get even bigger. For a sixteen year old she was easy to please. Rav grabbed her car keys and they both got into the big SUV. Mel happily watched people when they stopped at the stoplights. It was pretty sunny in LA, it was almost never anything else. They finally pulled up to the music store after sitting through five extreamly long stoplights. The guy at the cash register gave a friendly greeting to Mel since he knew her by sight since she used to come here pretty often with her dad.
"You gettin something for your dad?"
He asked as he hurried forward to help them.
"Not today Ryan, Today I get my own drumset."
Mel said happily. Rav smiled at her daughter.
"You want the one you were looking at the last few time you were in here?"
Ryan asked helpfully. Mel nodded and pointed.
"See mum, thats the one thats like Dad's kit. its the same color and the same brand. Thats the one I want."
"ok then."
Her mom said as she took out her credit card to pay for it.
"Do you want that one or do you want us to order one new for you?"
"We'll take that one."
Ryan quickly took it apart and put all the parts saftly in a Huge box. Rav paid for it and helped load it into the back of the bulky SUV.
"Well that didnt take long, remember this is part of you birthday present."
Rav said trying to be stern but she couldnt keep a strait face around her excited daughter. Mel hugged her mom thankfully. Her stomache then gurgeled hungrily, reminding her that she was hungary and hadnt eaten breakfast.
"Mum, can we stop somewhere and get a gatorade or water?"
"What happened to the water bottle you carry around with you everywhere?"
Her mum asked with a raised eyebrow. Mel blushed deeply.
"I kindda forgot it cuz I was so excited about getting my kit today."
Mel said with a hint of embarrassment. Rav took out a dollar and handed it to her to get a water bottle out of the vending machine across the street. Mel returned to the car and took a long gulp from the bottle.
