You Make Money With LPF But You Don't Care About The Site?

First of all very happy to see some long needed changes happening here. Great, now hopefully we are seeing a move towards a more positive future for the site - and more activity from current members. This is what we have been wanting for a while now.

What I am worried about is that while we are now making positive steps that we don't stagnate with these few admin/moderator changes. I know for any site to become popular and a veritable hub for fans/members, this rests largely on those of us who visit this place daily to keep posting, to stay active, to do all those things we need to to keep it alive, and hopefully encourage others to come along and do the same - there is after all only so much that mods/admins etc can do after all.
What I am hoping is that once we get the heirachy organised that we get some of those other well needed changed put into place as we discussed a while back, like giving the place a face lift, adding new features to the site, and generally giving the place a much needed visual overhaul.
Yes I am aware these things take time, and I'm not suggesting anything be done in haste and half-heartedly for the sake of it. What I am sincerely hoping now, now that we have some changes starting to take effect, is that we have regular correspondence, at least once a week if feesable, from the general staff here to the rest of us regular joes, just to keep us up to date and in the loop with the inner workings of our beloved site.

It doesn't have to be all change related, but anything of interest a mod/elite saw on site and wants to plug to everyone else, something about proposed competitions, even an amusing anecdote or something, ANYTHING that sort of bridges this invisible gap between those running this place and the rest of us. I thought initially that was partially what the 'news' segment on the home page was for (that and naturally LP band news) but the novelty (and upkeep) wore off as fast as it was initalised with having only Happy Christmas, LPF Sessions and LPFA's on there over the last 6 months as a generalisation. That's nowhere near current or up to date, and lets face it as this is a Linkin Park Forum, why is it if we want news of any kind on the band we have all that tucked away in a little link at the top of the forums page, and devote the rest of the place to... virtually everything else? (And that for current news we go everywhere else, I personally go to LPT - why can't we maybe affiliate with another larger site? Don't we want more recognition here?)
But anyway, just wanted to bring that up.

I understand many here are no longer into Linkin Park as they perhaps once were and no one should be penalised for their changing tastes in music, but having said that when all is said and done, if you don't like the band, or are here to socialise with your mates, there should be a place for that too while leaving a majority of the thread for the band and band related issues as it's supposed to be.

Okay that will do. I just wanted to say my piece on this. And again while I am stoked to see finally the wheels of progress turning I hope no one gets it in mind that suddenly everything's solved and things will magically just 'fall into place' now. There's still a lot of work both here, and maybe in tems of promoting this place outside of here (seeing as how almost 90% of us 'accidentally found' this place on Google etc), still yet to be done. Early days, but things are finally looking up.
Glad to see that. Can't wait to see what's in store for us next :)
